Assistance for flood-affected farmers and land managers is available - Contact
the emergency hotline - 1800 814 647.
Primary industries natural disaster damage survey -
Floods and storm affected landholders are encouraged to report damage to
property and infrastructure through the online natural disaster damage survey

Assistance for flood-affected farmers and land managers in Northern NSW is
available - Contact the emergency hotline - 1800 814 647. Animal assessment and
veterinary assistance, emergency fodder where access allows, and euthanasia and
burial if required.




JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS (JE) DETECTED IN NSW



JE is an exotic mosquito-borne viral disease. Infected mosquitoes can cause
disease in wild birds, pigs, horses and other livestock species as well as
people. Report all unusual signs of animal disease to the Emergency Animal
Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.




FARM RENEWABLE ENERGY REVIEW



Regional communities and farmers are set to benefit following the launch of a
review into the issues and opportunities arising from the growth of the
agricultural and renewable energy sectors.




GRANTS FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED FARMERS



Primary producers hit by storms and floods in NSW can access $15,000
immediately, through grants of up $75,000, as part of the jointly funded
Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.




WHEAT STRIPE RUST



DPI cereal pathologist Steven Simpfendorfer has advised wheat farmers to
consider their management plans now prior to entering a third cropping season
likely to be conducive to stripe rust.




FUNDING FOR NATIVE FISH STOCKING



Applications for the DPI 2022-23 Dollar for Dollar Native Fish Stocking Program
are now open, with angling and community groups, individuals, councils and other
relevant organisations encouraged to apply.
