BACKGROUND

Restaurant Fitzgerald is named after the famous writer Francis Scott Fitzgerald.
The writer who once said, "Too much of anything is bad, but too much Champagne
is just right."

We really enjoy this motto and therefore we offer you a great selection of wines
from almost every important wine region and in many different styles.

Moreover our chef Michael Verhagen and his staff have managed to ensure the
kitchen is considered to be one of Rotterdams most interesting in a short period
of time.

From 2018 on Fitzgerald has been awarded one Michelin star.


RESTAURANT

Fitzgerald is a contemporary culinary and wine destination where Rotterdammers
and international guests meet. A restaurant, with a beautiful private dining, a
spacious bar, and a private garden. It is located on the modern Gelderseplein in
the historic Oude Haven.

The international interior combines modern design with vintage classics.

The kitchen, under the guidance of Chef Michael Verhagen, has a classical basis,
but with a modern twist and serves mainly seasonal ingredients.

Restaurant Fitzgerald is open from Wednesday till Saturday for lunch and dinner.

You can choose from the à la carte menu to a maximum of 5 guests. Will you be
visiting us with a larger party? We are more than happy to serve you one of our
set menu's or create a tailor-made menu for you. On Saturdays we offer no à la
carte options.




WINE

At Fitzgerald we have a strong passion for wine. Therefore we can offer you a
selection that is amongst the most interesting in our country. Many wines are
ready to be drunk young and are fruit driven and approachable. But just as many
of "our" wines are cellared and aged and only offered when we feel they are
ready for you to enjoy. It is a very diverse selection where we often present
you the top producers from the respective regions. A selection for wine
afficionados and we love to advise you when needed.

Currently we can offer you around 4000 different wines, from young vintages, to
classic vintages and even some of more than 50 years old. We are the proud
recipients of the 'Star Wine List Grand Prix' for 'Best wine list in The
Netherlands' and the 'Best of Award of Excellence' from Wine Spectator. In 2022
the wine list was chosen as 'Best wine list of the year' by Gault&Millau.


That we also love Champagne can be seen from our motto: "Too much of anything is

PRIVATE DINING

Restaurant Fitzgerald offers the option to book a beautiful private dining room
for a party from 10 up to approximately 28 people, depending on how the table
setting will be arranged. This space can be subtly closed with see through
sliding doors, whereby your private company is still part of the restaurant. The
well-chosen interior combines classic elements with modern design and offers an
elegant, warm setting. You can choose your menu here from five up to seven
courses. Depending on your program and/or number of guests there are additional
costs for the use of the private dining.

Adjacent to the private dining we also have the garden room where we can welcome
larger parties.

Restaurant Fitzgerald is in het trotse bezit van een Michelinster, en

is ook internationaal niet onopgemerkt gebleven. Zo zijn we in 2021 de winnaar

PARKING

You can park your car from 18:00 at the parking garage Blaakhaven, under the
Gelderseplein, right in front of the door of Fitzgerald. For lunch this service
is only available on Saturdays. This is not a public garage. The costs are € 10,
- per car. You can only park here if we have registered your registration number
in advance. You can view the parking manual here as a PDF. You can submit your
registration number via info@restaurantfitzgerald.com. It is also possible to
park your car in the spacious parking garage Markthal (Dominee Jan Scharpstraat
306) or Parking garage Oude Haven (Burgemeester Van Walsumweg 718)


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The restaurant is very easy to reach by public transport due to its location
just steps away from NS railway station Rotterdam Blaak. You can use the train,
tram, metro and bus.


TAXI

If you visit us by taxi, we advise you to take off on the Geldersestraat next to
the citizenM hotel. From here you can cross the square to Restaurant Fitzgerald.
