WELCOME

FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Welcome to the RKPS, Woodingdean website, thank you for stopping by!

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of such a dynamic and nurturing
school as ours. For a flavour of what happens here, why not follow us
on Instagram and X (formally Twitter). Please also check out our school video
below.

Our children enjoy achieving: our Year 6 test scores are among the best of all
Brighton and Hove schools-please see our 'school performance' page for further
details.

We are an academic school but also one which provides our children with myriad
sporting opportunities. We have a well embedded sporting culture here at RKPS
with all children being given the chance to develop a lifelong love of sport.

A truly creative curriculum runs throughout our school: our children are
artists, coders, musicians and actors! Our school grounds are extensive with two
sports fields, learning gardens and our own beautifully wild Forest School.

At RKPS, learning is an adventure!
 
We offer our children a wide range of clubs, the vast majority of which are
free. From Lego to art to choir to cricket: there’s a club to appeal to
everyone. Add to this our vast array of school trips and we truly make sure that
the Primary School days are their happiest.

Most importantly, nurture is at the heart of all we do. Our Inclusion Team,
along with our highly skilled and dedicated members of staff, are second to
none. I must not forget to mention our school therapy dogs: Hugo, Buddy and
Bailey - three of the most popular members of the team! Here at RKPS, no child
is left behind.
