DIY BIRD BATH FROM DOLLAR STORE ITEMS

This is exactly what I wanted to create. You know how you have something in your
head and hopes it turns out. This one did. I had seen one simiiar in the store
and it was not in my budget. I found a pie pan at the dollar store and a pretty
glass textured bowl at the dollar store and I already had the two ceramic birds.
I thought I had better use a glass or ceramic bowl instead of a plastic one so
it would be bottom heavy and stand up to the wind outside. I turned the bowl
upside down and glued the pie pan on with some heavy duty glue. I ran the glue
around the ridges that stood up on the bowl and that attached nicely to the pie
pan. I put something heavy on top of that and let it sit over night to make sure
it adhered very well. Then I used the same glue to put the birds on. I did see
the same birds at Hobby Lobby and they were 40% off so a little over a dollar
each. I let everything sit another 24 hours to make sure it all stuck together
good. The next day I took it out and spray painted it with my Pistachio Green
spray paint. It makes it look like Jadeite wear. After that had dried I used
some patio black paint and used a sponge brush to paint on little spots of the
black to resemble some enamelware. I absolutely love how it turned out. What do
you think?
