Kurumi.com Connecticut Roads 3-digit Interstates Signmaker 日本語 More WELCOME Kurumi.com covers roads — history, news, maps and photography — with a focus on Connecticut highways and 3-digit interstates. Japanese language and culture are also explored. For more background, see About Kurumi. TODAY’S FEATURED ROUTE This strange route almost touches (but not quite) Route 140, at the center of Ellington. If you enable Javascript, you'll see a featured Connecticut highway here. No worries; head over to the CT Roads page and you can see them all. WHAT’S NEW * Dec. 27: New page for Waterbury Area Transportation Study, that proposed several bypass routes in 1963. * Dec. 11: New page for Waterbury Expressway, a freeway that predated Interstate 84. * Mar. 13: Added several "B" towns to the Towns area (19/169); revamped Scenic Roads page * Feb. 27: Revamped the Towns area of Connecticut Roads, and added 3 town pages, for a total of 10 (out of 169...) * July 2: Connecticut's newest highway: 0.18 miles of Myra Cohen Way in Newington, also known (though not widely) as SSR 494. At BDL, SSR 403, the state's only double-decker one-way route, is no longer a state highway. * Apr. 24: I think there's enough evidence to assert that, 90 years ago, on the drawing board, was a Connecticut Route 23.
