Be on the lookout for fraud and scams View as web page The holiday season provides fraudsters and scammers more opportunities to commit fraud as you look for special deals or shop online more frequently. To help us in our efforts to protect your FNBO Visa® account, there are some common scams you should be on the lookout for. We will never call, text or email and ask you for your personal information. Some scammers will call and portray themselves as FNBO employees. FNBO will not call you and ask for sensitive information. The only time we may ask for a one-time passcode or other information is if you call us. If a price for merchandise online or in your email looks too good to be true, it most likely is. Scammers are pretending to be well-known retailers using ads that have merchandise for sale at very low prices. These often lead to fake sites that just take your money. If the pricing looks too good to be true, go to the retailer's website and see if you can find the offer there. If you receive a text about a package arriving that you were not expecting, do not click the link without further research. These spoof texts often reference a fake package delivery to ask for money or personal information. Legitimate businesses will allow you time to make purchase decisions and take standard forms of payment. Scammers will sometimes use pressure to push you to make a purchase quickly or use an alternate form of payment such as Cash App. If feeling pressured, back away and do more research to confirm the transaction is legitimate. If you suspect you are dealing with a scammer on your FNBO Visa®, reach out to us at the number on the back of your card. Thank you for being our cardmember. Together we can work to keep your information and your account safe. Go to card.fnbo.com/fraud-awareness or scan the QR code with your mobile phone for updates on current fraud and scam information.
