assessments. Mr. Abidul is highly certified in key inspection and integrity
skills, and has implemented effective integrity management strategies using RBI
and other risk-based tools. He has authored and presented papers in
international conferences on asset integrity and operational excellence. He
holds an M.Sc. in Asset Integrity Management from The Robert Gordon University
and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Guwahati University. With his

Mr. Ahmed is a highly experienced professional in the Oil & Gas industry,
specializing in both Upstream and Downstream operations. With a Bachelor's
Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business
Administration (MBA), he possesses a strong educational background to complement
his practical expertise.

With over 27 years of industry experience, Mr. Ahmed has developed a deep
understanding of Conventional and Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
and techniques. He holds an ASNT NDT Level-III Certification, demonstrating his
proficiency in eight different methods: Infrared Thermography Testing (IR),
Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiography Testing
(RT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Visual & Optical (VT), Magnetic Flux Leakage
(MFL), and Penetrant Testing (PT).

Currently, Mr. Ahmed serves as the Team Leader of the Inspection
(Non-destructive Testing) team within the Inspection & Corrosion Department of
the Engineering & Technical Services Division. His role involves overseeing and
coordinating various NDT activities, ensuring the integrity and safety of
equipment and structures in the industry.

Neil Flemming, Founder and Managing Director of Asset Integrity Engineering
(AIE). Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, AIE now has more than five
offices globally.

Neil specialized in the setup and implementation of operational integrity and
inspection management systems for clients in the UK, Middle East, North Africa,
Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. He has a wealth of experience having
previously worked for Lloyds Register, BP and Petrofac.

Neil has pioneered the setup and implementation of standardized integrity
processes which are currently used at AIE and are aimed at continuous
improvement and operational excellence. He has published numerous articles on
the subject matter, successfully managed and led large scale multimillion dollar
projects, and is considered globally, as a leading specialist for operational
integrity management.

Dr. Steve Matthews is Petrofac ECS’s Integrity Consultancy Manager, based in Abu
Dhabi. His main responsibilities are the delivery and technical assurance of RBI
and Integrity Consultancy projects, as well as worldwide sales and business
development support for ECS’s Integrity Management Services. He also leads the
development of Petrofac’s BuildME Integrity Management software platform.

He has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years with substantial
experience in RBI, integrity management system development, asset due diligence
and condition assessment, corrosion management, SCE performance standards,
maintenance strategy development, reliability, and failure analysis.

Gabriel is currently responsible for Penspen International Limited Asset
Integrity Service Line, with the responsibility for leading and managing the
team of Asset Integrity and Materials & Corrosion Engineers in Middle East &
Africa Region. He specialises in materials and corrosion, asset integrity,
Integrity Operating Windows, Corrosion Under Insulation and project management.

With over 20 successful years in the energy industry, he has worked on various
greenfield and brownfield projects including key integrity projects for
International and National Oil Companies

Before joining Penspen in 2021, Gabriel served as a Principal Engineer & Team
Leader for Wood Group, where he led a team of Integrity & Materials Engineers.
He also held positions Head of Materials & Corrosion at Shell & BP Refinery,
South Africa, Downstream Materials & Corrosion at Shell Global Solutions,
Netherlands, and Senior Corrosion Engineer at PetroSA.

Gabriel is a Chemical Engineering graduate and holds a Master of Science (MSc.)
in Corrosion Control Engineering from University of Manchester, and an Executive
MBA.

Dr. Hamad Karki is Faculty at the Department of the Mechanical Engineering
Department at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UA.E. Dr Karki is the CEO and

are from Tokyo University of Technology and are in Mechatronics and System
Electronic Engineering. As an Associate Professor faculty at the institute, he
teaches and conducts research linked to robotics and smart systems that are

focuses on automating inspection process such as pipeline inspection using smart
sensors on field robots.

Mr. Omar El Sinnary is a Manager, Engineering Services (Inspection & Corrosion)
in ADNOC Gas. He has more than 30 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
(upstream and downstream) and has membership of NACE, SSPC and API. He holds a
master degree in chemical engineering and diploma in corrosion and metallurgy
science. Omar is SME in corrosion degradation mechanisms and mitigation,
material selection, corrosion risk assessment and Risk Based Inspection (RBI).

SIJI SIDHARTHAN

Siji Sidharthan holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Cochin University
with 15 years of experience in Non-destructive Examination. He specializes in
NDT consulting, field services, procedure validations and commercialization of
novel NDT techniques. His area of interest includes metallurgy and corrosion,
nonlinear ultrasonics, signal processing for advanced imaging. He holds PCN
Level 3 and ASNT NDT Level 3 in UT, PAUT, TOFD, RT, MT, PT, VT. He is also an
Authorized Inspector as per API 510, 570, 580, 571.

H.E DR. MOHAMMED SAEED AL KINDI
HON. FORMER MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT & WATER GOVERNMENT, UAE

His Excellency Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, Hon. Former Minister of Environment
and Water, had a distinguished career as a diplomat in the prestigious UAE
Government. His contributions and initiatives are reflections of his skills as a
true leader.

Dr Kindi works towards revitalizing global ties of the UAE with the rest of the
world and contributes to achieving the vision of the country. Recognized as a
resourceful leader, he focuses on formulating strategic plans, initiating
changes and executing new processes in diverse and challenging environments. His
dedication and commitment continue to enlighten and inspire people around him.

Dr Al Kindi’s career began in 1984 as a Second Secretary at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi. He was then transferred to the permanent mission
of the UAE to the United Nations in New York, serving from 1986 to 1995.

As a member of the UAE Mission, he represented the country at the UN Security
Council from 1986 to 1987 and the UN General Assembly during his post. Dr Al
Kindi served as Rapporteur of the Fourth Committee at the 45th Session of the UN
General Assembly in 1988 and Vice Chairman of the Fourth Committee at the 46th
Session of the UN General Assembly in 1989.

After completing his tour of duty at the UAE Mission, he was appointed Charge D
’Affairs of the UAE Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1995 to 1997.

Dr Al Kindi was appointed Director of Ruler’s Office for the Government of
Fujairah from 1997 to 2006 and also served in the Cabinet of the UAE Federal
Government as Minister for Environment & Water from 2006 to 2008. He has been a
member of the consultative committee (Parliament) of the GCC Supreme council. He
has attended meetings and conferences of Non-Alignment Countries and Economic
Group of G77.

He actively participates in various domestic and international businesses,
holding positions, including Chairman, Director, Board Member and Proprietor. Dr
Al Kindi represents the UAE at a wide variety of regional and international
conferences and is a member of different national and international
institutions.

He has a Doctorate in Public Administration, obtained a Bachelor and a Master’s
degree in Political Science from California University in the US. Dr Al Kindi’s
strong sense of commitment, determination and responsibility enabled him to
reach heights throughout his life.
