MARCH 27TH, 2020


Hello everybody! How are you? We are okay. Mom napped most of yesterday after
she got out of work, so we didn't post. This are fine around here, but she is
very good at worrying. 





We have been crafting though. Mom calls it anxiety crafting. She worked on
Adelaide's Victorian underthings, but we're waiting for more fabric. We ordered
it from Hobby Lobby, but it has ended up taking nearly two weeks! 

I hope everyone is having a good day!

MARCH 21ST, 2020


Hello everybody! I'm sorry we're late. We napped a lot yesterday evening. Mom's
been very worried about all the current events, and napping helps! 

Not much has really changed-- it turns out that Mom's introverted tendencies are
a lot like social distancing. The only thing that has changed is her work
places. The not-retail job hasn't changed too much-- much more into cleaning.
The retail job (which we didn't have to go this weekend) has limited hours.



 
She did make some progress on Adelaide's Lady Sherlock outfit. She now has a
chemise and drawers. The drawers didn't quite work out the way they were
supposed to-- they don't fit around her middle-- but it doesn't matter. Now we
have to wait for the fabric to come from the interwebs to continue. 

Mom is supposed to get out early for inventory from the not-retail job on
Friday, so we'll have extra time to write it. (We're supposed to write it
beforehand, but sometimes that doesn't happen!) I hope you all have a safe week!

MARCH 6TH, 2020


Hello everybody! We are having a bit of a computer problem, so this is a bit
later. We actually started to write this an entire forty five minutes
beforehand, but had to argue with the computer to get it to work!





Joaquin got to model our new science kit. It came with a volcano! Mom says we
can't do the experiment until we can do it outside! (She says it makes a bit
mess!)

FEBRUARY 28TH, 2020


Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Mom has decided to start on a new
sewing project, so she did something a bit simpler to see if she could do it. A
while back, we were watching one of our favorite YouTube channels, Bentley House
Minis. On the sidebar, the YouTube algorithm recommended a lady who was
explaining how some historical Halloween costumes weren't close to what it
really should look like. On a lark, Mom clicked and she's been sucked into
Bernadette Banner and historical costuming (even though she has no interest what
so ever in actually making anything for herself), and has subscribed to most of
her friends' channels and Instagram pages. One of the things that got her
interest was that Ms. Banner made herself a lady Sherlock outfit. Mom has got
the idea that she will make a lady Sherlock outfit for Adelaide!






She wanted to see if she could handsew something, so a few days ago, she went to
the fabric store and bought some red flannel. Adelaide now has some red pajamas!
Mom says that her seams aren't exactly straight, nor the stitches small, but
Adelaide says she doesn't care! The hand sewing part is still up for deciding--
it didn't take very long, but she says she spent a great deal of time worrying
about keeping everything straight. But who knows!

Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. I have a new friend to share with you!
When Toys R Us went out of business, Mom missed out on the opportunity to buy a
Journey Girls doll. A few months ago she discovered via some of the American
Girl groups she belongs to on Facebook that they got rebooted by Amazon. Last
week, she finally placed an order for a new friend and she arrived!




 Meet Cedar! She is a Chavonne Journey Girl! Mom hasn't decided how she's going
to fit in our 18 inch doll family, but she will probably be some relation to
Tallulah!



Tallulah is a Barnes and Noble Espari doll, which was sort of just a Journey
Girl doll with a different name. They do look similar, although Cedar has much
bigger eyes!





She seems to like it here. Mom gave her some new clothes, and we're working on
finding her some things of her own!

FEBRUARY 14TH, 2020


Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Last week, Mom went to the mall and
bought some things for my 18 inch doll friends and I, so we have things to post
about! This week's post is about something she found at her retail job.





Since it's Valentine's Day, she bought us a chocolate bar! It's just our size!





I decided that I would share it with Adelaide too. We've become very good
friends with all the time we spend waiting for Mom to get out of work. She's a
good sport about doing all sorts of things for my teddy bear friends and I who
don't have opposable thumbs! (Mom thinks that's it's interesting that despite
the fact that we're both nearly the same size, it looks like it's in the right
scale for me, but it looks too big for Adelaide! We think it has to do with the
fact that I've got much bigger paws!)
