His father introduced him to the Biomedical Equipment program at Durham Tech, and now he has the opportunity to do just that. After completing his program this fall, he received an offer from Duke University Hospital as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. With the knowledge gained throughout the program, he will repair, maintain and support medical equipment ranging from anesthesia machines to the smallest thermometer. “For anyone interested in going to Durham Tech, I say do it and never look back,” Mook said. “There will be struggles but ask for help. After the completion of their work, the bacteriophages (phages) were archived at the University of Pittsburgh for future research.
