DR. IAN FETTES

B.D.Sc

Ian is a graduate of Edinburgh University. He practised in Zimbabwe for 20 years
before deciding to call Australia home in 2001.

Ian brings a wealth of experience, particularly in the area of oral surgery.
When he isn’t looking after patients, we know where to find him – he’ll be on
the golf course.


DR. FIONA CAMPBELL

B.D.Sc. (Hons)

Fiona graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland and practised on
the Sunshine Coast before spending two years working in the UK. We were
fortunate to have her join our team in 2008.

A testament to her popularity as a dentist are her numerous former patients who
attend our practice just to see her. When not at work Fiona exercises her
exceptional manual dexterity by knitting, sewing and cooking – however she is
far from being a “nanna“!


DR. ERIN LEASK

B.D.Sc. (Hons)

Erin graduated with honours from the University of Qld and after being a city
girl born and bred she has made the sea change to join our team.

Erin is dedicated to providing gentle dental care and finding solutions to any
dental problem you may have. When she is not seeing patients you will find her
on the beach or baking sweets for her friends.

Since 2004, our Suncoast Dental clinic in Maroochydore has proudly offered a

Our clinic offers a range of payment options, Denticare payment plans, HICAPS
health fund processing, credit and debit card, and cash. We are ready to meet
with you and find the most appropriate plan to suit you and your needs. Please
complete a Medical History form prior to your first appointment to ensure our
team can offer you the best possible treatment.

COVID-19 POLICY STATEMENT



The team at Suncoast Dental welcome all patients to safely visit our practice
throughout the pandemic. Vaccination is not mandatory for our dental patients.

In accordance with the workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination
Requirements) direction issued by the Qld Government, our team are fully
vaccinated to provide you with complete peace of mind during your visit.

If for any reason you are unvaccinated – including for a medical
contraindication, your right to autonomy and personal choice will be respected
by our team. Your wellbeing is our utmost priority.

Should you be unvaccinated, or partially vaccinated (including having had the
second dose within less than two weeks) before attending the dental practice
during a time of no community transmission, we do not foresee any significant
additional risk to your health.

During times of active community transmission, despite our diligence in patient
screening procedures, we cannot completely exclude the possibility that COVID
positive patients will attend the practice. This poses a risk to both vaccinated
and unvaccinated patients.

It is not currently a requirement to have the PCR COVID Test prior to any dental
procedure.

If you are unvaccinated, or even partially vaccinated (including having had the
second dose less than two weeks prior) before attending the dental practice
during a time of active community transmission – we may ask you to defer your
treatment if possible. If this is not feasible, we will work with you to reach a
suitable solution.

All patients over the age of 70, including those who are fully vaccinated and
those with complex medical history may be asked to reconsider their procedure
during a time of active community transmission to mitigate the risk of
accidental exposure.

We will explicitly and candidly discuss COVID-19 risk factors relevant to our
practice with all patients prior to attendance. We thank you for considering
this policy statement during your dental visit.

now I can’t see myself going anywhere else! As someone who has severe dental
anxiety, the wonderful team at Suncoast Dental do the best job at helping me put
my mind at ease. They’re great at listening to your concerns and stopping
straight away if anything is painful or uncomfortable. I recently saw Dr Erin
and her amazing assistant to get some fillings done and they were just
fantastic! Judgement free and really reassuring during the whole procedure. I

I saw Dr Erin Leask who was fantastic. I have extreme dental anxiety and she
completely put my mind at ease. I left feeling very informed and educated. I
also saw Sarah Myers who was equally as amazing, incredibly patient and kept me
fully informed of what was going on. I felt zero judgment and Sarah did
everything she could to make me as comfortable as possible. I have avoided the
dentist in recent years due to my fear, but I feel comfortable coming back here
on the regular. The reception staff are absolutely wonderful as well. I highly
recommend for anyone who has dental anxiety. Thank you again to this amazing
team.

I've been going to Suncoast Dental for over a year now and I'm so glad I changed
over to them. I've had trouble finding a good dentist but I've finally found one
i'm very happy with. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The dentists and
hygienists are very gentle and informative. I don't fret going to the dentist

Highly recommend Suncoast Dental to anyone who has had problems with dentists
before. I have had several teeth removed over the years and quite often when
removing just one tooth alone have had my gums ripped up. Ian extracted 22 teeth
in one go without any damage to my gums and a very pain free experience. Thank

Busy dental practice. Have been going here for over 10 years and they have
always done great work for me. The staff are always friendly and engaged. The
practice is modern and professional, though parking can sometimes be a
challenge. There is a great kids play area with plenty of toys. They have always
run on time with minimal waiting (generally I barely get comfortable with the
paper before I am called in). I haven't changed practice even though I moved
30km away 5 years ago.
