FACES OF EHS: DUSTIN HEACOX ON ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

Dustin Heacox started out getting involved with safety by putting himself
through college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he graduated
with a B.S in Occupational Safety. After a brief stint with the WI Army National
Guard and a job in underground cable, he began working with the Wisconsin
Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). Following that position,
he began selling safety equipment until the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Currently, Dustin serves as the senior EHS coordinator at Inpro. He is also this
year’s runner up for the 2023 Safety Standout Award for Young Safety
Professional Excellence.

For our latest Faces of EHS profile, we sat down with Dustin to discuss how he
stays motivated, accountability, and the importance of continuing education.
