INSTALL GSNAP PLUGIN GARAGEBAND

GarageBand for Mac comes loaded with more sounds, effects and other audio
options than you can shake a stick at, but chances are you’ll want to broaden
your sonic horizons at some point.

If you’re unfamiliar with the process, downloading and installing third party
Audio Unit plugins to GarageBand for Mac may seem less than intuitive.

“GSnap is an auto-tune effect. It can be used subtly to correct the pitch of a
vocal, or, with more extreme settings, to create a robot-voice effect. For GSnap
to work effectively, the input signal should be monophonic, at a good level and
reasonably noise-free. For example, a clean, mono vocal recording, without
excessive noise or reverb. Click on the “Smart Controls” button in the upper
left corner of the GarageBand window. This opens up the “Smart Controls” window
at the bottom of the GarageBand window. Click on the 'Plug-ins' drop-down arrow
in the Smart Controls window. Then click and hold on a plug-in slot to open the
plug-ins menu. Oct 18, 2020 GarageBand, like many other DAWS, comes with the
ability to install plug-ins and they’re fun to use. In this tutorial, I’m going
to lay out a step-by-step process for installing plug-ins into GarageBand. Want
to pitch correct vocals on your Mac without dropping $120 on Antares Auto-Tune?
Add an Audio Units instrument plug-in to a software instrument track. In
GarageBand on Mac, in the Plug-ins area of the Smart Controls pane, click the
Instrument slot, choose either AU Generators or AU Instruments, then choose a
plug-in from the submenu. The plug-in window opens, showing the plug-in’s
controls.
