stop reliving past trauma that no longer exists in reality. Discusses the past

said it changed his world view, which he needed. Highly recommended.

Good read with easy flow of grammar. The dialogue between teacher student I
thought would be hard to keep at but it worked really well. The student does a
lot of repeating of certain statements as questions which the author has allowed
for the teacher to elaborate.
The whole concept around Adler's philosophy was hard to completely grasp. Some
point I found extremely hard to grasp but also for anyone to even think in these
ways. Most points seemed to sound like they would work but only if you're line
of thinking were in Adler's way.
Don't think I could conjure the courage to read the sequel haha.

I've read many spiritual, philosophical, self-help books, and for me, this is
one of the best. When I first started reading it, I was very disappointed at the
format - purely conversational style. After advancing a bit, I found that the
ideas shared were so thought-provoking that they completely compensated for the
format. The book revolves around Adlerian psychology, which I hadn't heard
before. I found it extremely surprising how a theory that is close to 100 years
old can offer so many ideas that feel so fresh, reasonable, and yet, so vastly
counterintuitive from today’s beliefs regarding human behaviour.

I would not recommend to people who dislike challenging traditional beliefs of
human behaviour (their own included)
