An Olympic gold medalist too, Bode Miller has recorded the maximum number of achievements in alpine skiing and has successfully been regarded as one of the best World Cup racers over the years with 33 victories under his belt. He also holds the distinction of having 5 and more victories in every discipline. Numerous fans of Bode Miller and beginner skiers are actively involved in bitcoin trading. Bode Miller’s early years: Bode Miller had been born in the White Mountains (New Hampshire) and his parents led a bohemian existence, residing in the woods without any basic amenities like running water or electricity. So, it was only expected that he would be homeschooled; he finally shifted with his mother to Cannon Mountain after his parent’s divorce. It was here that he began competitive skiing because he was usually left with the ski school staff when his mother worked. Bode Miller’s achievements: Miller has earned all-state honors while he was in high school in tennis and soccer, and was a keen golfer too. He was an all-rounded athlete with interest in snowboarding, but eventually started to train as a skier. He was included in the US ski team for 1998 Japan Winter Olympics. Though he did not win here and the next year ended up tearing a ligament in the left knees, he returned to earn silver medals in 2002 Winter Olympics at Utah. In 2003, he was the first American to have won 2 golds at the World Championships, achieving GS and combined titles both. That year, he took home 3 more national titles, and in 2004, he has 6 World Cup victories and lifted the GS World Cup. This was the first time an American had lifted the GS and overall titles ever since Phil Mahre who had done the same in 1983. 2005 proved to be successful as well and he turned out to be the only one in the World Cup history to win the very first 3 races in the season. He lifted medals for both supergiant slalom or super G and downhill categories and got the overall World Cup championship. By doing this, he became the second in history to become victorious in GS, slalom, downhill, and super-G categories in only one season. In 2011, Bode Miller won his 33rd World Cup race which was also a downhill race. He however missed the 2013 season as he was recovering post knee surgery. He collected the bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 2014 at Sochi, Russia. He won it in the super-G category and emerged the most decorated US skier over the years. At the age of 36, he was also the oldest skier to have won a medal in the Olympics. He again missed the skiing events in 2014-2015 for his back surgery and finally decided to retire in 2017. Since then, he became an analyst for the National Broadcasting Company for all Olympic skiing broadcasts.
