   charged at $30 per instance.

Terms and Conditions

1. Facility Use and Customer Code of Conduct

The following policies and regulations must be observed at all times when
booking courts and using Battledor’s facility. Failure to comply with these
terms and conditions may result in a court hire penalty charge and/or
cancellation of your membership. Battledor reserves the right to decline, amend,
or cancel any court bookings and/or deny access to the stadium where there are
breaches of these policies and regulations.

Battledor is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable facility to its
members. It is the responsibility of the members to follow the terms and
conditions below to ensure safe usage of the facility.

1.1 Health & Safety

Any incidents, accidents, or near-miss episodes must be reported immediately or
as soon as possible to our admin team during office hours by
emailing info@battledor.co.nz. To report a health and safety issue after hours,
please contact the Pro Shop either in person at the Pro Shop or on phone: 022
438 2052.

1.1.1 Use appropriate equipment to reduce and manage the risk of injury:

 1. Appropriate footwear is to be worn at all times and must be clean,
    non-marking indoor court shoes.
 2. Approved badminton shuttlecocks only are to be used inside our centre. Balls
    or any other flying objects may not be used at any time.
 3. Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement when playing
    badminton as this may result in injuries.
 4. During after-hours use of the courts the players takes full responsibility
    to use the facility unattended and unsupervised.
 5. Battledor recommends that any person undertaking physical activity should
    seek medical advice first.

1.1.2 Keep the courts clear of any obstacles which may interfere with play:

 1. Remove shuttlecocks from the court area if not in use.
 2. Keep the immediate area surrounding the court(s) clear to allow for enough
    “run-off” space.
 3. Avoid having any other equipment on the court(s) other than racquets and
    shuttles.
 4. Ensure that other people present in the centre keep clear of the court area.
 5. Always supervise young children closely. Ensure they are aware of the
    dangers when coming close to the court area.
 6. Remove your rubbish after using the courts. This includes used or broken
    shuttles.

1.1.3 Ensure the court surface is clean and dry:

 1. Players must check the court surface before commencing play to ensure it is
    free from condensation that may cause the court surface to become slippery.
    Mops and brooms are available.
 2. Players are to check that the court surface is free from spilled water
    and/or perspiration.
 3. Players are to ensure that dust is removed by use of the brooms available.
 4. If after checking the courts and eliminating hazards, the court
    surface remains slippery, play should be cancelled or suspended until the
    surface has been checked by Battledor staff. If Battledor staff are not in
    attendance, refer to clause 1.1.1 above.

1.1.4 Fire Evacuation:

 1. The evacuation meeting point is at the centre of the carpark.
 2. The person who hired the court(s) must ensure on arrival at the meeting
    point that everybody who was in attendance with them in the facility is
    accounted for.
 3. Clubs and groups using the facility must maintain a register of participants
    at each club/group day to ensure that all participants of the club/group day
    are accounted for at the meeting point.

1.2 Facility Use & Player Etiquette

1.2.1 The member in whose name the court booking was made under must be:

 1. present in the centre at all times for the duration of the court booking
    period.
 2. responsible for their guests and their guest(s)’ actions, including any
    damage caused to the facility or to the facilities equipment, and for health
    and safety.
 3. responsible to report damage to the Battledor office and/or the Pro Shop as
    soon as possible.
 4. responsible for the repair cost for any damages to Battledor’s property or
    equipment

1.2.2 Members/players are responsible for their property. Valuables such as
jewellery and electronic devices should be left at home. Battledor is not
responsible for any lost property.

1.2.3 No alcohol is to be brought into the facility.

1.2.4 No smoking is permitted on the premises including within 20m of any
entrance/exit or ventilation of the premises.

1.2.5 Play on unlit courts is not permitted under any circumstance.

1.2.6 Players court time is completed when the booking time ends. Please exit
the courts promptly so the next group of players may begin their court time.

1.2.7 No leaning or using the glass wall in the Pro Shop area.

1.2.8 No leaning or pulling on nets.

1.2.9 Respect the facility and the equipment provided. Ensure that you and your
guest players do not abuse anything that has been provided for your use and
enjoyment.

1.2.10 No glass is permitted in the court area.

1.2.11 Inappropriate behaviour that violates the rights of others, particularly
when the behaviour is disrespectful to a person’s gender, race, age, sexual
orientation, religion, national origin, disability or appearance, may result in
immediate removal from the facility. Remarks that could be construed as
offensive or discriminatory must always be avoided.

1.2.12 Members/players are expected to treat coaches, managers, other players,
officials, and spectators with all due respect regardless of age, race, creed,
colour, gender or abilities.

1.2.13 Members/players will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike behaviour
towards officials, coaches, players, or spectators; such behaviour may include
but may not be limited to arguing, booing, taunting, refusing to shake hands, or
using profane language or gestures.

1.2.14 Players and spectators are not to engage in violent behaviour, either
verbal or physical, or to encourage others to do so.

1.2.15 Information technology is not to be used to post inappropriate comments
about players, clubs, club officials, or match officials that is discriminatory
or offensive. Information technology includes but is not limited to email,
instant messaging, text messages, phone messages, digital images and website
postings (including social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
Wechat, Xiaohongshu and blogs).

1.2.16 Battledor is monitored by security cameras 24/7. Failure to comply
with these rules may result in your membership or your right to access the
facility being rescinded.

2. Membership and Court Booking System

There are 2 Membership Types:

 1. Individual Members – can be registered via our booking platform.
 2. Group Members – can be applied for in person or via email:
    info@battledor.co.nz

By completing account registration on the booking website, individual customers
will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

will be deemed to have become an individual member of Battledor Badminton
Centre.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

 1. Individual members may book only one court per hour.
 2. Individual members may book max 3 hours per day.
 3. Individual members may book courts no more than 14 days in advance.

GROUP MEMBERS

 1. Group members may book all three court at the same time.
 2. Group members may book within the provided time frame.
 3. Group members may book courts no more than 42 days in advance.

All types of members agree:

 1. To follow and accept the terms and conditions regarding court bookings.
 2. To be kept informed with updated information from Battledor.
 3. To keep court booking accounts in credit.
 4. To provide and maintain true and accurate personal details on the booking
    website account.
 5. That memberships are non-transferable.
 6. That members should not book on other’s behalf.
 7. Not to carry out coaching or other activities that have not been formally
    communicated and approved by Battledor management team.

3. ACCESS AND SECURITY

 1. CCTV on premise is in operation 24/7.
 2. The main entrance/front door of Battledor Badminton Centre should remain
    locked at all time.
 3. Only members with a valid key fob can access the courts securely by tapping
    the key fob on the reader located at the main entrance.
 4. Members/players are highly recommended to purchase a key fob before making
    bookings.
 5. A one-off access code is available to members upon request at $30 per
    instance.
 6. Lost key fob can be replaced at a cost of $60 per instance.

4. COURT BOOKING AND CANCELLATION

 * Peak hours are i) 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm Monday to Friday, and ii) 8:00 am –
   10:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. The rest are off-peak hours.
 * Battledor have the rights to change the court booking arrangement under any
   circumstances.
 * Prices are subject to change without notice.

 Membership accounts and Court bookings

 * Battledor does not provide credit facility. All court bookings must be paid
   using valid credits pre-purchased via our booking website.
 * Funds/credits held in the online membership account may not be
   used/transferred for payment against any other type of product or service
   provided by Battledor.
 * Funds/credits transfers between related membership accounts may be requested
   but not guaranteed.
 * In any case, if you won't be using our facility anymore, you can request a
   refund by contacting us via email on info@battledor.co.nz. A full refund of
   the credit balance amount might not be approved. All credit bonus will be
   deducted automatically and will not be refunded under any circumstances. Our
   management team will assess your booking history and calculate the refund
   amount appropriately. This process usually takes 1-2 weeks. Any credits past
   the expiry date will NOT be refundable.

Court booking cancellation

 * Battledor will provide a court booking credit back to the online member
   account only if the cancellation is made online more than 48 hours before the
   time the court is booked for.

5. GROUP MEMBER BOOKINGS

The following policies apply to formally designated and approved group member
accounts who book courts on a regular basis.

 1. Group member accounts are for 1) clubs that run on a weekly basis, or 2)
    group trainings that run on weekly basis.
 2. Application for group member accounts can be done in person at the Pro Shop
    or via email: info@battledor.co.nz.
 3. Any group member wishes to book time to run weekly clubs or training
    sessions must contact Battledor via email: info@battledor.co.nz, however
    there are no guarantees that Battledor will be able to meet your
    requirements.
 4. The club/training session run by group members must abide by the number and
    times of the courts as agreed with Battledor management. To make permanent
    changes to its court bookings, please notify Battledor team in writing at
    least one month prior to the change required. If there is a temporary
    change, Battledor team must be advised in writing 5 days prior to the
    change.
 5. A group membership can only make bookings for its designated times.
    Battledor team has the right to recall or cancel the group membership if it
    is misused.
 6. It is the responsibility of the group member to ensure that their members
    observe the published rules of Battledor. Failure to observe these rules
    may, at the discretion of Battledor team, result in the cancellation of the
    booking rights of the club/training.

6. UESE OF PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS 

Members/players hereby agree and acknowledge that an Battledor staff member or
an Battledor designated person shall have the right to:

 * photograph and/or video record any game
 * retain such photographs or video recordings for the use of Battledor or any
   other person or organisation to which Battledor provides authority
 * distribute such photographs or video recordings to any other party
 * display such photographs or video recordings at any time and in any form
   (including, but not limited to, promotional displays of the organisers and/or
   sponsors of Battledor or any similar event, social network internet sites,
   the website(s) of the organisers and/or sponsors of Battledor)

PROVIDED THAT no such photographs or video recordings shall be used
or retained for any illegal, immoral or unseemly use or purpose.
