A medium-bodied, mellow cup which beams with pronounced notes of malt and date
palm. These flavors coat the palate right from the start and hum along
throughout the length of the liquor. Luscious tones of yellow raisins joined
with subtle hints of cocoa are discernible around the edges and towards the
back, rendering a distinct sweet and lively intensity to the cup. Muted floral
accents shore up towards the finish which however ebb to finish on subtle sweet
aftertaste, making for a distinguished experience of Assam Summer Black this

This Halmari is my all-time favorite Assam - it's full-bodied, moderately
strong, and malty but not overly sharp or citrus-y in the finish like many
Assams. There is a complex, mouth-filling, subtle sweetness and vanilla/floral
quality that lasts from beginning to end. I find many Assams to be just boring
due to the high tannins/malt creating a rather monolithic experience. Not this
one. I drink it every day and the experience is still fresh.

This is a very strong tea but a delicious tea. Because of high in caffeine, it
gives me a buzz half way through my 500ml mug that I usually have this tea in. A
delicious and well balanced tea. I highly recommended this tea.

I don't drink Assam teas a lot, so my comments are not very authoritative,
however, this is one of the best I have tried. A lot of the Assams seem one
dimensional to me - malt is about it but in this one the dates and sweetness
came through.
