Shabbat Shalom! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is with great excitement that I invite you to a special gathering to address antisemitism and discrimination in our community by joining our Steamboat Team to combat Antisemitism and Discrimination (STAND). The creation of this team is part of the Jewish Community of Steamboat’s work in the program “Kulanu” through the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Kulanu means all of us in Hebrew and it truly does take all of us to address hate and discrimination in our county. This is a diverse group of faith traditions, organizational leaders, professionals, public figures, and community members all with this one shared goal: to make our county safe and inclusive to all. This task force is multi-faith, multi-denominational, bi-partisan, and inclusive of all. Are you ready to take a STAND against antisemitism and discrimination? Join us. 1st convening of Steamboat Team to combat Antisemitism and Discrimination (STAND) Tuesday February 28, 8-9am Library Hall @ Bud Werner Memorial Library Light breakfast will be served RSVP to rabbikolby@harmishpacha.org This session will be livestreamed and recorded upon request -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ARE YOU A CONNECTOR AND WANT TO HELP BUILD COMMUNITY AT HAR MISH? We are looking for a volunteer or two in our community to help run the monthly Har Mishpacha Happy Hour. Board members Steve Bloom and Nancy Ventrudo have been organizing it for the past few months and it has been a really successful event with between 30 - 40 attendees schmoozing at a local Steamboat bar/restaurant! It's a great opportunity for the Jewish community to connect in a casual and non-religious setting. We estimate the time commitment to be between 2 - 4 hours/month not including the actual event. Our next Happy Hour would be the first week of March if we find someone to lead the charge moving forward. Please let Gathering Committee Chair Daniella Place know if you would be interested in supporting this important Jewish community building event!
