Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an international
organisation based in Paris, which was founded in 1961. It has currently 34
members. It also cooperates with more than 70 countries around the world as well
as non-governmental organisations and civil society. The main objective is to
coordinate policies in line with the long- term economic development of Member
States and associated observers.

OECD is a unique discussion in which member countries endeavour to find
solutions to the global problems. The OECD produces international agreed
instruments, decisions a recommendations to promote rules of the game where a
multilateral agreement is necessary for individual countries to make progress in
a globalised economy. The OECD is known for its outstanding publications and
statistics covering economic and social issues from macroeconomics, to trade,
education, development and science and innovation.

In addition, the Office´s employees regularly participate in OECD activities
especially in the work of Competition Committee and working groups. The Office
also organised workshops in collaboration with experts from the OECD.
