Hi, I am facing problem to create compressed texture using OpenGL function with
only SIS Mirage 3 graphics card on the Vista machine Hardware and Software
configuration are given below in detail: 1) I am using SIS Mirage 3 graphics
card driver version 7. 2) OpenGL version is defined in my application as #define

Dude, hello there, we share a common ground on this one. I also have a mirage 3
been looking for frivers just to let me have the full resolution 1280 x 800 that
ubuntu and windows can have, i remember i once tried using the ones from the
manufacturer website and they did the same as the mod we did to the osx boot
file, it´d just let me have 1280x768 and had to stay with the packard bell
restore dvd to have 1280x800. I think its the same issue more or less, since sis
launched a driver last year which fixed that, for the win7 beta. My current
distro is ideneb 10.5.5 which has already given wlan plus sound, still missing
descent resolution, battery support and, sis191 lan, which im currently looking
for.

Anyone that port this drivers to OS X? Linux display drivers are a different
world than OSX display drivers. Many reasons why, but the most basic is that
Linux uses X11 as its primary display, and OSX uses Quartz. The people saying
that SiS cards will never have graphic drivers are not being mean. The simple
fact is that the community has NEVER built from scratch a graphics driver- we
only get to work cards that Apple actually uses in their machines or cards close
to official Mac graphic cards (aka we use official Apple drivers). Apple will
NEVER sell a SiS Mac, since lets be honest that SiS is basically at the far low
end of computer hardware and Apple already has Intel GPUs for its integrated
graphics and ATI/Nvidia for the high end. Anyone looking for SiS drivers should
stop looking for them and start looking on how to acquire hardware that is
supported.

The source for Subversion (which is from Apache) is free and open. TortoiseSVN
and CollabNet uses the same set of source files to build their command line
tools. The main difference will be one of support.

The TortoiseSVN project provides a complete set of command line tools, but
really doesn't support them. In fact, if you look at, you see they tell you to
use CollabNet's version of svnserve. There's also the question of how the code
is compiled and tested. CollabNet probably does a lot more thorough testing of
their version of svnserve to make sure it will work under a wide variety of
circumstances. Considering the cost of upgrading to CollabNet is free, You
should opt for the CollabNet package for running your Subversion server.
TortoiseSVN's version of svnserve is probably fine if you're using Subversion
for your own personal use, but when you're taking about a corporate team, you
should really opt for one of the many Subversion distributions that is
specifically made for server use.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am a veteran Subversion developer and a CollabNet employee.
It's difficult to imagine what immediate technical benefit you'd get from
running CollabNet's packaged 'svnserve' utility versus the one that ships with
TortoiseSVN. The primary difference will be the additional support offered by
CollabNet for the version they provide. I can't help but wonder, though, if the
folks urging you to install 'CollabNet Subversion' are, in fact, urging you to

Unfortunately, it is Apache-based (and distinctly not svnserve-based), so I
don't think it would pass your strict 'no web servers allowed' policy.
