With this Privacy Notice we inform you which personal data we collect and for
which purposes your personal data are processed.


1. CONTROLLER



Controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation are:

TÜV SÜD AG (Westendstraße 199, 80686 Munich, Germany) and its affiliates.

2. SUBJECT MATTER OF DATA PROTECTION



TÜV SÜD AG and its affiliates (“we”, “us”, “our”) would like to provide you with
relevant information on trade fairs, webinars, events, white papers,
newsletters, updates, case studies, market studies and promotions related to our
product and services (“Marketing Information”).


3. PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA



We will ensure that we process the personal data (e.g. email address, phone
number) provided by you when requesting Marketing Information solely for the
marketing purpose as described in Sec. 2 of this Privacy Notice.

The legal basis for such processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without the provision
of your personal data as provided by you in order to receive marketing
information, we cannot provide you with our Marketing Information.

In addition, we process your personal data for the purpose of ordering and
conducting webinars. In this context, we also process your personal data for
promotional purposes: Participation in a webinar is free of charge for you, in
return you allow us to process your personal contact data for promotional
purposes. The processing for promotional purposes takes place by means of
promotional contact using your e-mail address and/or your telephone number. The
promotional contact will be made by the TÜV SÜD country organization responsible
for you (independent responsible person as defined by DSGVO, List of TÜV SÜD
Affiliates) as well as once and promptly, i.e. usually within 8 weeks after the
conclusion of a webinar. Legal basis for the processing of your personal data:
Contract on the order of a free webinar with promotional contact according to
Article 6 para. 1 lit. b European Data Protection Regulation.


4. TRANSFER OF DATA



We use external data processors which process your personal data on our behalf
in order to provide you with Marketing Information and related customer
inquiries. The data processors are selected carefully and audited at regular
intervals to ensure protection of your data privacy. We use service providers
which process data on their behalf (e.g. to support processing of customer
inquiries or Marketing activities.

For the purpose of ordering and conducting a webinar, we transmit your personal
data to the following recipients: TÜV SÜD branch office in charge of the
administrative implementation of a webinar, TÜV SÜD Asia Pacific Ltd, Singapore.
The technical implementation of a webinar is carried out by Webex, ...., USA.
For the purpose of contractually agreed promotional contact, we transmit your
personal data to the TÜV SÜD country office responsible for you (List of TÜV SÜD
Affiliates). 

The transfer of personal data to data processors is based on Art. 28(1) GDPR, or
alternatively on our legitimate interest in the economic and technical
advantages associated with the use of specialized data processors, and the fact
that your rights and interests in protecting your per-sonal data do not
predominate, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We also process data in countries outside the European Union (“EU”) on the basis
of [Standard Contractual Clauses published by the European Commission]. For

5. DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA



We will delete or anonymize your personal data as soon as it is no longer
required for the pur-poses for which we have collected or used it in accordance
with the above paragraphs. For more details on our data retention concept, you
can contact us by e-mail at marketing[at]tuvsud.com.

Your personal data processed for the purpose of ordering and conducting a
webinar, as well as your personal data processed for promotional purposes, will
be deleted when they are sent to the TÜV SÜD country office responsible for you
at TÜV SÜD AG, but no later than 8 weeks after the end of a webinar.


6. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECTS



With regard to the processing of your personal data you have a right of access
to your personal data being subject to the processing, a right to rectification
of your personal data, a right to erasure of your personal data, a right of
restriction of processing of your personal data, and a right to data portability
with regard to your personal data. Furthermore, you have a right to lodge a
complaint with the supervisory authority competent for you.

Where processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) or serves direct
marketing purposes, you have a right to object to the processing of your
personal data.
