Founded in 2004 by The Duchess of Kent and Nicholas Robinson, we break down
barriers, create opportunities and harness the power of music to transform the
lives of young musicians across the UK.‍
With over 4.2 million children living in poverty in the UK and thousands of
children with exceptional musical abilities failed by society every year, we
want to achieve an equal reality where all gifted young musicians from
low-income backgrounds flourish.



INSPIRING YOUNG MUSICIANS

Our flagship Junior and Development Programme aims to support, develop and
listen to the needs and aspirations of gifted young musicians who present
challenges to their musical development. Our core is in the evolution of the
young lives we affect; inspiring examples of musical talent and life
development.



LISTEN

We build confidence through education, knowledge and performance experiences
collaborating with top industry professionals as mentors and leaders to nurture
our young musicians.


SUPPORT

We support our young musicians through our dedicated Relationship Manager with
personal guidance and encouragement along with a financial bursary to equip them
with the tools to flourish on their musical journeys.

DEVELOP

We provide a range of excellent opportunities for our young musicians including
mentoring, masterclasses and workshops, hosting performances at venues from
Buckingham Palace to Ronnie Scott's to the Southbank Centre.



Over the last 18 years, we are proud to be one of the UK’s leading charities
inspiring future generations of musical talent, providing access to
life-changing opportunities to young musicians from low-income backgrounds.

How to apply


OUR VISION

“For thirteen years I taught music in a primary school in East Hull. I taught
children with exceptional talent but I could not find any natural pathways for
them to develop that talent. I saw the power of music in every aspect of their
lives and as an extraordinary stimulant for growth.
‍
Our vision has been to support talented young musicians from every corner of the
country and in every genre of music. The benefits for these children are
inestimable. We hope to break barriers down, enhance opportunities and make a
career in music an equal reality for all, as well as to capture the power of
music as a force for change that can improve young people’s lives.”
