Casa Palmera helped save my life. The staff here truly cares about your well
being and wants you to succeed. The sense of community among patients is really
awesome too. I made lifelong friends in there. I just celebrated 6 months sober
and that’s thanks to the help of this place. The alumni events after leaving
casa make a huge difference, the alumni meeting, volleyball, pickleball, etc. I
am very grateful I came here.

This place saved my life literally. After some major life events that occurred
over the course of my life time & trauma that was left unprocessed over years, I
finally sought help. I started with therapy, tried both inpatient at behavioral
hospitals & outpatient programs too. This was my first ever residential
treatment when I admit myself around 2022. I can’t say everything I want to say
in a review but Casa & the staff exceeded all expectations. Therapists were
amazing & my favorite one of all time was Sana. She’s a straight shooter & tells
you what you need to hear. To all the negative reviews complaining about not
being able to leave, drinking soda, not using your phone, 2 computers &
everything else that’s artificial.. this place is not for you. It’s for people
who are dealing with life or death situations who are actually fighting for
their lives & WANT to get better. If all you have to complain about is the fact
that you can’t eat McDonalds while in rehab, then you don’t belong here. Try
going to an inpatient psych ward & you’ll really have something to complain
about when they check your room every hour. Seriously though, it’s not that bad.
This place is not meant to be a vacation it’s hard work but they give you so
many tools & extras to make it more comfortable. They do give you soda
occasionally on the weekend when they have patient picked activities to do. You
do have access to your phone in case of emergency which you have to request. You
can shave but only with an electric razor because there’s people in here dealing
with suicide ideation. They discourage “coupling” because it interferes with
your own treatment. You CAN’T leave as you please because you’re dealing with
mentally ill patients & addicts so patients will try to leave every chance they
get. Every rule/precaution is in place for a reason. Duh. For the record I came
here strictly for mental health & I got out of it what I put into it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and treatment I received at
Casa Palmera. Going to Casa Palmera is one of the best things I have ever done
in my life. Not only did I receive the therapy and tools as a strong base for my
recovery, but the mental therapy treatment changed my life. The tools and coping
skill I learned were invaluable. The staff were all so knowledgeable and cared
about every one of us. Becoming sober literally saved my life, and I honestly do
not know if I could have achieved the strength in my sobriety without Casa
Palmera. Thank you, Casa Palmera and team!
