Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). In this European Year of Youth, World Bee Day is dedicated to the future of beekeeping and the role of young people in raising awareness of its importance. * SLOVENIA TO INTRODUCE THE PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING BY AIRPLANE AND SHIP ON 16 AUGUST 12. 8. 2021 Slovenia is introducing the Passenger Locator Form for passengers travelling by airplane and ship on 16 August to facilitate contact tracing. Every passenger will be asked to fill out his or her own form, including passengers travelling together as a family or in a group. Passengers in transit, who will remain in the airport's transit area (unless they should decide to leave the airport area for whatever reason) and airplane or ship crewmembers will not be asked to fill out the form. * MINISTER DR CERAR AT FUTURE SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT: “FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE REQUIRES A BROADER ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION” 15. 1. 2020 As part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week held on 11–18 January, Minister Cerar took part in the Future Sustainability Summit today. At the panel titled “Technology vs. Policies: What will unlock climate action?” the Minister underlined the importance of a steadfast fight against climate change, which requires a broader economic and social transformation. Many websites and e-mail scams attempt to mislead individuals into believing the companies are offering to expedite citizenship or passport applications or are acting on behalf of the Slovenian authorities. * 8. 2. 2021 UNITED ARAB EMIRATES SEND DONATION TO SLOVENIA TO COMBAT COVID-19 Today, a special Etihad Airways aircraft from the United Arab Emirates landed in Slovenia, carrying seven tons of protective equipment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Stanislav Raščan, and Deputy Director-General of the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, Stanislav Lotrič, thanked the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Al Musharrakh, for the generous donation. * 24. 9. 2020 MEMBERS OF THE GREEN GROUP CALL FOR ACTION IN COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE New York, 24 September 2020 – On the margins of the Climate Week taking place during the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), members of the Green Group (Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Iceland, Singapore, Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates) call for action in combating climate change in their joint statement.
