Advancing

Real Estate

PHILADELPHIA’S
BLACK COMMERCIAL
REAL ESTATE
CONNECTION

The Philadelphia Chapter of AAREP was established in 2022 as a 501(c)(6)
not-for-profit organization. Our goal is to advance current and
emerging commercial real estate leaders from diverse backgrounds through
exposure to industry resources, relationships, community outreach
projects, business development, and career opportunities to provide a diverse
talent pool to corporations.

AAREP is steadfast in its commitment to growing its presence throughout the
country. From its beginnings in 1995 as a small group in Washington, DC, this
network has expanded across the country to include hundreds of professionals. In
2020, a number of our leaders recognized the need for the Philadelphia region to
formalize an organization in support of its Black real estate professionals.

About
AAREP PHL

AAREP PHL’s mission is to strengthen the economic livelihood of African American
commercial real estate professionals and create more connections with people
already in the commercial real estate business.

After many discussions, they put together a formation committee comprised of
leaders in the Philadelphia region to help build the structure and board for
AAREP Philadelphia. The board is committed to the Philadelphia region and the
professionals in it. We have created a space for professionals that will take
the commercial real estate space by storm and change the landscape for
African-Americans in commercial real estate.

Collaboration and networking among commercial real estate professionals is at
the core of what we do.

Having the privilege and right to own and transact commercial real estate should
belong to everyone. AAREP’s Philadelphia goal is to change the narrative about
how commercial real estate works by providing access and information to blacks.

AAREP Philadelphia is dedicated to supporting developers, architects, asset

benefit their current and future career and business-to-business endeavors.

Our networking and outreach efforts will help our members:

 * Manage your commercial real estate career with solid action plans.
