WELCOME TO BARDON RAINWORTH MEDICAL CENTRE

Bardon Rainworth Medical Centre is a well equipped comprehensive medical centre
with 9 doctors and is located in the suburb of Bardon 5 km west of the Brisbane
CBD.  The doctors are Dr Greg Thompson, Dr Lyn Brislin, Dr Jane Hutson, Dr
Amanda Irwin, Dr Kylie Norris, Dr Annie Yang, Dr Anabelle Lindley, Dr James
Moran and Dr Stuart McMaster. All our doctors have a range of skills and
interests which covers the full range of general practice presentations. The
medical centre services the suburbs of Rainworth, Bardon, Rosalie, Auchenflower
 Toowong, Paddington, Milton, Taringa and  Ashgrove.

The medical centre is located on Boundary Rd, Rainworth and was renovated in
2014, expanding from a 2 room practice to now having 6 consultation rooms and 2
treatment rooms  in a modern well equipped medical practice. The practice has 5
very experienced nurses and offers the full range of general practice services
to the surrounding communities.

Our practice is accredited through QPA (Quality Practice Accreditation), which
conducts a rigorous quality assurance process every three years.  BRMC passed
with flying colours in Spring 2022, which ensures the medical centre provides
the highest quality care.  The assessors stated that “the practice is providing
a service that not only meets the high standards set by the RACGP, but in many
way exceeds it”.

Dr Thompson purchased the practice from Dr Farook Ameer in June 2006. Dr Ameer
had been at the practice for 20 years. Dr John Neros had established the
practice in the 1970s.

The medical centre offers a full range of medical services six days per week
including minor surgery, skin checks and excisions,  immunisations, health
assessments, medical examinations, paediatric care, aged care, womens’ and mens’
health, musculoskeletal medicine, wound care, blood collection and home and
nursing home visits and includes after hours availability.


THE OUT OF SURGERY SERVICES WE PROVIDE INCLUDE:

   * Nursing home visits.
   * Home visits for patients that are unable to get to the clinic.

NEAREST HOSPITALS

PUBLIC HOSPITALS NORTHSIDE
The main adult public hospital servicing our area is Royal Brisbane & Womens
Hospital 07 3646 8111. Further north is The Prince Charles Hospital (Emergency
Centre 07 3139 5064, which will also see children.

PUBLIC HOSPITALS SOUTHSIDE
For those on the south side the major adult public hospitals are the Princess
Alexandra Hospital at Woolloongabba 07 3176 2111 and the Mater Adult Hospital at
South Brisbane 07 3163 8111

CHILDRENS HOSPITALS
The main public children’s hospital is the Queensland Childrens’ Hospital
(formerly the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital) in South Brisbane 07 3068 1111.

PRIVATE HOSPITALS
Private hospitals are the  Wesley Hospital in Auchenflower 07 3232 7333 St
Andrews Hospital in Spring Hill 07 3834 4444, Holy Spirit Northside Hospital
(Brisbane Northside Emergency, 07 3326 3320 in Everton Park and The Mater
Private Hospital in South Brisbane 07 3163 8111.

All have emergency facilities and can provide access to X-ray and pathology
services if needed. A fee is charged for attending these centres.
