Headlines scream- a cacophony of sound But truth feels distant lost and never found. Experts clash, Distilling wisdom into stories sold. Algorithms whisper- “We know you best,” Feeding outrage, Lost in the din, a tear escapes my eye, Yearning for solace. A world connected, yet hearts so far apart, Fragile emotions ripped by digital art. Is this progress? This constant, anxious hum? This daily deluge, Of opinions clashing, where can I confide? Is there a haven? a sanctuary to find, From the relentless noise that clouds my mind? The weight of the world, a burden to bear, Every tragedy, every whispered despair. Empathy’s wellspring, stretched thin and worn, Longing for a world where kindness is reborn. I close my eyes, a fleeting escape’s embrace, But the digital echo still leaves its trace. A yearning whisper, a silent, wordless plea, For a simpler time, a world I long to see. © Karpop Riba * THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE. by daily prompts > What do you wish you could do more every day? I’ve always been a bit of a homebody. Curling up with a good book or spending a cozy night in with friends and family is my happy place. But lately, I’ve been feeling a strange urge to break free from my routine and experience more of the world. It might sound strange coming from someone who loves a good Netflix binge, but here are 3 things I wish I could do more often: Embrace the Unknown: My life is pretty predictable. I know my favorite coffee shop order, my preferred walking route, and exactly how long it takes me to get anywhere. Lately, I’ve been craving some spontaneity. Imagine hopping on a last-minute train to a new city, with no itinerary and nowhere to be! Just the thought of getting lost (in a good way) and exploring somewhere completely new sends a thrill down my spine. Sweat a Little: Okay, maybe not too much. But I confess, I do envy people who can get outside and get their heart rate up. There’s something so satisfying about pushing yourself physically, whether it’s conquering a challenging hike or mastering a new yoga pose. Maybe it’s the endorphins, or maybe it’s the feeling of accomplishment, but I definitely need to find a way to incorporate more movement into my life. Disconnect to Reconnect: I’ll admit it, I’m glued to my phone. Social media, news updates, even that silly cat video – it all seems to suck me in. But lately, I’ve been feeling a disconnect from the real world around me. I miss those long conversations with friends, the uninterrupted flow of reading a book, or simply being present in the moment without the constant digital buzz. I need to find a way to power down and truly reconnect with the world (and the people) around me. These are just a few things that have been on my mind lately. Maybe it’s a mid-life crisis (yikes!) or maybe it’s just a natural human desire to grow and experience new things. * DAILY PROMPTS by daily prompts > What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain. I do not appreciate being asked the question “Why are you still single?” This is a personal matter and my relationship status does not define my happiness or worth. Being single is a valid choice and I am content with where I am in life. It allows me the freedom to live life on my own terms and create a fulfilling and enriching experience for myself. 1. I value my independence being single allows me the freedom and flexibility to make decisions without having to consider a partner’s preferences or opinions for example I recently decided to pursue a spontaneous weekend trip without having to consult anyone else and it was liberating to have the ability to do so on my own terms. 2. I have time to focus on myself without the distractions of a relationship I am able to prioritize self-care and personal growth this includes dedicating time to hobbies interests and goals that are important to me for instance I have been able to devote more time to my passion for photography and have seen significant improvement in my skills as a result. 3. I have experienced toxic relationships in the past I have been in relationships that were emotionally draining and detrimental to my well-being being single allows me to step back and reflect on those experiences learning from them and avoiding similar patterns in the future by prioritizing my own mental and emotional health I am able to create a more positive and fulfilling environment for myself. > Your mental health is more important than your career, money, other > people’s opinions that event you said you would attend, your partner’s mood > and your families wishes combined. If taking care of yourself means letting > someone down, then let someone down. 4. I am waiting for the right connection while finding a genuine and meaningful connection which may be rare I believe in holding out for that special bond by staying single until I genuinely connect with someone who aligns with my values and goals. I am able to be more discerning in my relationships and avoid settling for less than I deserve. You know, in today’s world, cheating is on the rise because of how simple it is to communicate using technology. People are taking advantage of this convenience to have affairs and lie, which is causing more divorces. It’s sad to hear about husbands/wife cheating while claiming to be in love, creating toxic situations in marriages. That’s why I believe staying single until finding a genuine connection is better. In the meantime, I focus on enjoying myself and growing personally for a more meaningful and happy life. > I want to live simply. > I want to sit by the window when it rains and read books I’ll never be > tested on. I want to paint because I enjoy it, not because I have something > to prove. I want to fall asleep when the moon is high and wake up slowly, > with no place to rush off to. I want not to be controlled by money or > clocks or any other artificial inventions of humanity. I just want to be > boundless and infinite. * PIECES by Poem, poem, poetry, You could stab me in the chest and I’ll still apologize for bleeding on your pristine dress I am so broken, so fragmented that I can’t help but beg for forgiveness even as I lay dying at your feet I have been shattered, torn apart by the weight of my own self-doubt and the echoes of my own mistakes So go ahead, stab me in the chest and watch as I apologize for the stains I leave behind For I am already broken and the blood on your clothes is just the final reminder of what I have lost. © Karpop Riba * CONQUERING DEBT: A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR INDIVIDUALS / YOUNG PROFESSIONALS. by financial advice Debt is a common financial challenge for many young professionals. Understanding the Scope of the Problem: Debt can be a substantial financial burden, impacting young professionals’ ability to achieve financial milestones and pursue other important life goals. Recognizing the scope of this issue is crucial as it enables individuals to proactively address their debt and take charge of their financial future. Step 1: Assess Your Debts and Understand Your Options Before implementing a plan to manage debt, it’s essential to have a clear understanding of the specific debts, interest rates, and repayment terms. By having an accurate overview of their liabilities, young professionals can then explore available repayment options, including debt consolidation, negotiation with creditors and prioritizing repayments based on interest rates. Step 2: Create a Realistic Budget and Prioritize Repayment Developing a comprehensive budget that accounts for all income, expenses and debt obligations is a fundamental step in managing debt. By prioritizing debt payments and allocating a portion of their income towards debt reduction, young professionals can make steady progress in paying off their debts while maintaining financial stability. Step 3: Explore Repayment Strategies and Programs. This section will delve into various loan repayment strategies, including the pros and cons of income-driven repayment plans, debt consolidation and refinancing options. Understanding the nuances of each strategy can help young professionals make informed decisions that align with their financial circumstances and long-term goals. Step 4: Implement Financial Management Techniques In addition to debt-specific strategies, implementing effective financial management techniques such as setting up automatic payments, creating an emergency fund and finding ways to increase income or decrease expenses, can further support the overall debt management plan. Step 5: Monitor Progress and Adjust as Needed. Regularly monitoring progress and reassessing the debt management plan is essential. By tracking debt balances, interest accrual and overall financial health, young professionals can identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to their repayment strategy. By following this detailed plan for managing debt, young professionals can take practical steps towards achieving financial freedom and stability. Equipped with a deeper understanding of their options and a clear roadmap for debt management, individuals can improve their financial obligations with confidence, setting the stage for a stronger financial future. Here’s a simplified debt repayment plan to get you started that can help individuals effectively tackle their debts: 1: Assess Your Debts Create a list of all your debts, including the type of debt (e.g., credit card, personal loan, student loan), outstanding balances, interest rates, and minimum monthly payments. 2: Set Clear Goals Define your debt repayment goals. This could include paying off a specific debt by a certain date, reducing the total amount of debt owed, or simply lowering the overall interest paid. 3: Create a Realistic Budget Develop a comprehensive budget that outlines your monthly income and expenses. Identify areas where you can reduce spending to allocate more funds towards debt repayment. 4: Prioritize Debts Consider prioritizing your debts based on the interest rates. Allocate extra funds towards the debt with the highest interest rate while continuing to make minimum payments on other debts. 5: Explore Repayment Strategies Consider debt consolidation, balance transfers to lower-interest credit cards, or refinancing high-interest loans to reduce overall interest costs. 6: Implement the Snowball or Avalanche Method Choose a debt repayment strategy like the debt snowball method (paying off the smallest debt first) or the debt avalanche method (paying off the debt with the highest interest rate first) to accelerate your repayment efforts. 7: Increase Your Income Explore opportunities to supplement your income, such as taking on a part-time job, freelancing, or selling unused items. Apply this extra income directly to your debt. 8: Build an Emergency Fund While focusing on debt repayment, it’s crucial to start building an emergency fund to avoid adding new debt in the event of unforeseen expenses. 9: Monitor Progress and Adjust Regularly track your progress. One thing that always brings a wave of nostalgia for me is listening to old songs from my high school days… There’s just something about the melodies and lyrics of those tracks that instantly transport me back to a time when life was simpler and full of endless possibilities. As I sit down to listen to some of my favorite songs from that era.. I can’t help but feel a rush of memories flooding back. I remember those carefree days spent with friends, driving around with the windows down and the music blasting from the speakers. The sound of those familiar tunes brings back the joy and excitement of being young and eager to discover the world. It’s not just the music itself that makes me feel nostalgic, but also the emotions and experiences that are tied to those songs. I remember the first time I heard a particular track or the joy of dancing at a high school party as it played in the background. Each song holds a special place in my heart and listening to them again takes me on a journey down memory lane. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and it’s amazing how a simple song can evoke such strong feelings. It’s like being able to hold onto a piece of the past and relive those moments all over again. It’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that those moments have passed but also feeling grateful for the memories that were made. As I continue to listen to these old songs, I can’t help but smile at the flood of emotions that wash over me. It’s like reconnecting with an old friend, and I find comfort in the familiar melodies and lyrics. Nostalgia may be a bittersweet emotion but it’s also a beautiful reminder of the experiences and connections that have shaped me into who I am today. And for that, I’ll always be grateful for those old songs that bring back a flood of memories. To all my dear readers, I want to take a moment to wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for sticking with me throughout this year and being a part of this journey. Your support means the world to me and I am grateful for every moment we have shared. Here’s to another year of growth, joy and cherished memories. Thank you for being a part of my life and BEST WISHES for a wonderful year ahead! * “BEAUTY IN BROKENNESS” by Karpop Riba Allow your whole world to crumble.. fall to the ground Let the fragments tumble like a celestial ballet , each piece a star pirouetting in the cosmic dance, bursting at the seams of the universe. Gather up your tears let them flow like a river Scream into the night let your pain deliver. Can you dare to embrace the agony, taste its bitter sting? To truly apprehend it let despair unfurl its wing. To know the sagacity of darkness let the sorrow come to light. To appreciate the good we must embrace suffering. Often we turn away to numb the ache we feel inside But mark my words my friend, pain cannot be denied. So do not shy away, do not ignore it’s haunting plea, Embrace it.. face it head-on.. set your spirit free. There will come a moment.. a flicker of light When you gather strength, ignite your soul’s desire. Gather every fragment.. piece by broken piece.. Amidst the scattered fragments, a masterpiece will be born, From the ashes of sorrow a new purpose will adorn. Take your pain mold it into art let creativity unfurl Through poetry’s verses let emotions softly twirl Dance with wild abandon let your body tell the tale Compose music from heartache let its melody prevail. But tread gently dear one, don’t be too hard on yourself For endings leave scars like remnants of a battle worn Love yourself wholly be your own guiding star In your own embrace find solace, heal each scar. No one knows your heart like you know it true, No one can fill the void or mend what is askew. So love yourself fiercely with kindness and grace Believe that in time you’ll find your rightful place. So when pain strikes again.. don’t shy away Allow it to be felt in every shade and way. For in the midst of darkness a new dawn will appear And you’ll find the strength to rise, conquer your fear. Love yourself through endings.. be gentle and forgiving.. In the depths of despair find the seed of new living. For the journey is long.. sometimes rocky and tough But know this my dear it will be well enough. ******* * DAILY PROMPTS – by Karpop Riba > Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live? As I sit here reminiscing about my school days.. a wave of nostalgia washes over me… those were the days when life felt like an exhilarating rollercoaster ride and I was the fearless adventurer eager to conquer the world. High school and college… those were the years where friendships were forged like steel, where every moment was etched into our hearts, and possibilities seemed endless. Looking back.. I am filled with a mix of joy and regret. How I wish I could relive those days now that I know better. You see.. back then, I was a ball of energy with big dreams and grand aspirations but oh-so unaware. I made mistakes, I made plenty. The friendships I took for granted, the risks I hesitated to take, the chances I let slip away… I didn’t fully grasp the value of those fleeting moments. But now… armed with the wisdom that time has bestowed upon me I long for that second chance. I yearn to step back into those bustling hallways, to rewrite the script of my journey through education. To mend broken friendships and deepen the ones that have endured. To seize missed opportunities with a newfound bravery, knowing the importance of grabbing life by the horns. Imagine reliving those late-night study sessions where the air was charged with excitement and the scent of hope. To be able to correct my academic choices .. to delve wholeheartedly into subjects I merely skimmed over… to challenge myself beyond limits I had never dared to dream of. I crave the chance to absorb every ounce of knowledge.. to soak up the wisdom that would serve as the foundation of my future self. And yet amidst this longing for a do-over… I also carry a sense of gratitude. For it is those mistakes and missed chances that have shaped me into who I am today. They have taught me the importance of seizing the present, of cherishing every single day that life bestows upon us. So, as I sit here now, a little older and a little wiser, I may not be able to physically turn back the clock but I can carry the lessons learned with me. And when I see the eager faces of the young ones embarking on their own academic journeys, I’ll be there to impart my hard-won knowledge and encourage them to embrace every moment.. to relish in the joy and the growth that education holds. For in the end, it’s not about how many mistakes we’ve made or the opportunities we’ve missed; it’s about how we learn from them and strive to make each day better than the last. And that is the beauty of life’s journey – a continuous quest for growth, redemption and the chance to be a better version of ourselves. * ABSENCE… by Karpop Riba Stealing light from celestial orbs afar.. Or snatching melodies that winds confer.. Still fails to bridge the chasm that remains In your absence my soul writhes in disdain. Pilfering hues from scenic landscapes And blessings from sacred shrines of devout prayer.. Yet inept they prove to fill the aching void This world now estranged… A morning reverie yet undoubtedly sincere, I’ll linger… amid fears of lurking plight May fortune shield you from distress’s blight. Pensive in life’s vast journey, bereft of bliss, A moment… consigned to time’s relentless twist, Devoid of you..my kaleidoscopic sphere, Drained of vibrancy, bereft of cheer. Stealing wisdom’s precepts from learned tomes Or finance’s laurels from meticulous domes Defiant still, they cannot bridge the chasm wide, That gapes, bereaved, without you by my side. To pilfer radiance from starlit skies above Or pluck melodies that zephyrs so fondly rove But futile are these ventures.. bereft of grace When absence looms.. a void no force can erase. This world now estranged, A morning reverie…yet undoubtedly sincere I’ll linger… amid fears of lurking plight May fortune shield you from distress’s blight. * DAILY PROMPTS – MUTED DESOLATION by Karpop Riba > What would your life be like without music? In a world without melodious refrain Where notes no longer dance upon the air How dull..? How dreary would my days remain…? Without the solace of a song so fair. No symphony to stir my weary soul No rhythmic beats to set my spirit free No sweet sonatas that could make me whole Without a music’s touch what would life be? The morning light would lose its vibrant hue The birds would cease their joyful, tuneful call No lullabies to ease the darkest blue No love songs in the moonlit hours would fall. The sapphire sky would lose its vibrant song As silence spreads its melancholic shroud The heart in silence would forever long… For music’s beauty now forever vowed. No comforting melodies to heal my strife No healing harmonies to lift my past A world without music’s a barren life A silent existence, Oh! How it would last..!! For music is the essence of my breath The poetry that paints my days with hue Without it life would hold no sweet caress No symphony of joys that once I knew. © Karpop Riba * DAILY PROMPTS by daily prompts > What’s your favorite word? “SERENDIPITY” This beautiful word embodies the concept of unexpectedly discovering something valuable or delightful while searching for something else entirely. Its melodic sound and mystical meaning evoke a sense of wonder and excitement, reminding us of life’s delightful surprises that often come when we least expect them. * DAILY PROMPTS by daily prompts > What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you? MANIPULATIVENESS. When someone consistently displays manipulative behavior like * twisting situations to their advantage, * using guilt trips or playing mind games. It indicates a lack of honesty and sincerity. It suggests that person may not prioritize open communication and trust in their relationships…which can be detrimental to building healthy connections. I prefer to surround myself with people who are genuine, upfront, and value authentic interactions. * LIBERATING OURSELVES by daily prompts > Are you holding a grudge? About? It’s all too common for us humans to find ourselves entangled in the sticky web of resentment, holding onto grudges like they’re prized possessions. But let me tell you something—it doesn’t have to be that way. Personally, I’ve had my fair share of grudges in the past, harboring feelings of resentment that weighed me down like an anchor. It’s a dark path to tread, isn’t it? But as time went on, I realized that holding onto those grudges served no purpose other than to rob me of my own peace and happiness. So, I made a conscious choice. You see… when something or someone becomes toxic to our own well-being, it’s essential to recognize the toll it takes on our mental and emotional health. If engaging with a person or situation only fuels the grudge, then sometimes the best choice is to disengage altogether. It may sound challenging but trust me, it’s a liberating feeling. Instead of stewing in anger or resentment, I shifted my focus towards self-care and personal growth. Engaging in activities that brought me joy, surrounding myself with positive influences and practicing forgiveness allowed me to break free from the clutches of grudges. It was like shedding a heavy coat I had been carrying for far too long. Now, please don’t misunderstand me; forgiveness doesn’t always mean forgetting or condoning the actions that led to the grudge. It simply means that we choose not to let it control our lives anymore. We find solace in letting go…. in embracing the power of our own peace…. So, my friend, if you too have made the conscious decision to let go of grudges, I applaud you. It takes strength & courage to redirect our energy towards more positive & fulfilling endeavors. Remember, it’s your peace and well-being that truly matters. So, may your journey be filled with light and may you find serenity in leaving grudges behind, opening yourself up to a world of endless possibilities. * A JOURNEY OF LOVE, LAUGHTER & LIFE LESSONS: CONVERSATIONS WITH MY REMARKABLE MOTHER by Karpop Riba > Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — > and write a post based on their responses. The Interview: Q: Mom, you have always been admired for your positive outlook on life. What fuels your infectious zest for life? A: Well, my dear, life is a gift and should be cherished in all its forms. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that embracing gratitude and finding the beauty in everyday moments can truly transform one’s perspective. I strive to appreciate the little things—the warmth of the sunshine, the sound of birdsong or a heartfelt conversation with loved ones. Gratitude is the fuel that ignites my zest for life, reminding me that joy can be found in even the simplest of moments. Q: Your laughter has an uncanny ability to light up a room. How do you maintain such a joyful spirit? A: Laughter truly is the best medicine! We all face challenges and hardships but I firmly believe that finding humor in the midst of it all is essential. Laughter brings people together and it reminds us to not take life too seriously. I surround myself with uplifting friends, indulge in comedy movies and never miss an opportunity to enjoy a good laugh with loved ones. Life is too short not to find joy and share that joy with others even through the gift of laughter. Q: What are some of the most important life lessons you would like to pass on to future generations? A: Oh, there are so many! Firstly, always be true to yourself. Embrace your uniqueness and never let others define your worth. Secondly, kindness matters. The world can be a tough place but a small act of kindness can ripple through someone’s life and make a significant difference. Thirdly, embrace failure as a stepping stone for growth. It is through our mistakes that we learn and evolve. And finally, cherish your relationships. Life is about the people we love and the memories we create together. Invest time and effort into nurturing and celebrating those connections. Q: What has been the most rewarding aspect of motherhood for you? A: Becoming a mother has been the greatest blessing of my life. The privilege of witnessing my children grow, learn and navigate their own paths has been immensely rewarding. Seeing them develop into compassionate, independent individuals fills my heart with joy and pride. The bond we share, the laughter we’ve shared.. and the unbreakable support we provide one another are treasures beyond measure. Motherhood has taught me selflessness, perseverance and the extraordinary strength of love. Q: If there was one piece of advice you could give to every person, what would it be? A: Remember to live in the present moment. Life is a beautiful tapestry of memories, experiences and opportunities. Embrace each day with an open heart and an open mind. Don’t get too caught up in worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. Enjoy the present, create lasting memories and make the most of every precious moment that life offers you. “Conversing with my amazing mother has reaffirmed the infinite love, wisdom & joy she brings to my life.“ Reflecting on my mother’s incredible ability to juggle work and family responsibilities, I am left in awe of her unwavering dedication and strength. Witnessing her effortlessly balance the demands of her career while still being present for her family has been a true inspiration. As I consider the path ahead, I realize that I may never fully comprehend the extraordinary feat she accomplished. The sacrifices she made, the sleepless nights she endured… and the challenges she overcame are beyond measure. One undeniable truth that resonates deeply within me is that my mother’s love has always been the rock upon which our family stands. From the moment of conception, she embraced the incredible journey of carrying me for 9 months; experiencing countless physical discomforts & emotional roller coasters. The connection forged during that time is unbreakable and it fuels my determination to prioritize her above all else…. Always.. She has been my constant source of guidance, encouragement and love. Her unwavering belief in my abilities has propelled me to aim higher, surpass boundaries & pursue my dreams. In a world that often values achievement and success above all else, my mother’s unwavering dedication to family remains a testament to her immeasurable strength and the depth of her love. She has shown me that true success lies not just in professional accomplishments but in the deep connections we form and the lives we touch. My love and gratitude for my mother are boundless. I am forever indebted to her for the sacrifices she has made and the immeasurable love she has bestowed upon me. She will always be my first priority and I will strive to carry forward the lessons she has taught me. * DAILY PROMPTS – by daily prompts > How are you feeling right now? It’s a reminder that it’s okay not to have everything figured out. * DAILY PROMPTS – INK & IMAGINATION… by Karpop Riba > What do you enjoy most about writing? As a writer, the sheer joy I experience stems from the enthralling power inherent in the act itself. Each time I sit at my desk… pen in hand or fingers poised over the keyboard… I embark on an incredible expedition beyond the boundaries of reality. Within the realm of my imagination I am the master of my own destiny… able to shape & mold worlds, characters & narratives to my heart’s desire. With each stroke of the pen, I breathe life into characters of my own creation, watching them evolve into multifaceted beings with their own dreams, fears & desires. I find exhilaration in the intricate dance between plot and prose, carefully weaving together threads of suspense, romance & adventure…The subtle nuances of language become my tools, enabling me to evoke emotions, stir the depths of the soul and transport my readers to faraway realms. Beyond its creative allure writing grants me a profound sense of self-discovery and understanding. As the words flow from my mind and manifest on the page, I delve into the depths of my own thoughts, exploring the intricacies of my beliefs, values & experiences. Through this self-reflection, I uncover nuances & subtle truths about myself that may have otherwise remained concealed. It is through this process that I find solace and a means to make sense of the mysteries and complexities of life. But what truly makes writing a wondrous pursuit…. is its indelible ability to connect. The stories I craft serve as vessels, carrying my voice across time & space, resonating with the hearts & minds of those who encounter them. It is a humbling experience to know that my words can inspire, touch, and provoke thought, creating bonds between myself & readers that transcend boundaries. Writing is more than a mere passion; it is a calling.. It nourishes my spirit, ignites a fire within me & brings a sense of fulfillment that few other pursuits can match. Sometimes, life throws us curveballs that make it difficult to feel grateful. But even in those challenging moments it’s important to remember that gratitude can be cultivated and nurtured. Here are a few tips to help you find gratitude, even when it feels elusive: 1. Start small: Look for the tiniest moments of positivity in your day. It could be as simple as appreciating the warm cup of coffee in the morning or the sound of birds chirping outside your window. By acknowledging these small snippets of happiness, you can gradually shift your perspective. 2. Keep a gratitude journal: Take a few minutes each day to write down three things you are thankful for. They can be big or small, personal or universal. This practice allows you to focus on the positive aspects of your life and reminds you of all the good that exists. 3. Seek perspective: Sometimes, it helps to step outside of our own circumstances and gain a broader view. Consider the challenges others may be facing and the blessings that you may have taken for granted. This shift in perspective can cultivate empathy and open up space for gratitude. 4. Practice mindfulness: Engage in activities that promote mindfulness, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. These practices help you become more present in the moment and allow you to notice and appreciate the beauty and goodness around you. 5. Express appreciation: Take the time to express your gratitude to those around you. A simple thank you or a heartfelt note of appreciation can not only brighten someone else’s day but also remind you of the positive impact they have on your life. Remember, cultivating gratitude is a journey and it takes time and effort. Be patient with yourself and allow yourself to slowly open up to the possibility of gratitude. With practice and a gentle mindset, you may find that even in the toughest moments, there is still something to be grateful for. * DAILY PROMPTS by daily prompts > What positive emotion do you feel most often? Firstly, I define a compelling vision that serves as my ultimate destination. This vision ignites my passion and inspires me to work towards its realization. * Next, I break down this vision into specific and measurable objectives. By setting clear and concise goals using the SMART framework, I create a roadmap that guides my actions and allows for accurate tracking of progress. * To ensure focus and productivity, I prioritize my goals. I carefully analyze my objectives and determine which ones are the most important and aligned with my long-term vision. This helps me concentrate my energy and resources on those goals that will have the greatest impact. * Once I have clear objectives, I break them down into actionable steps. By breaking big goals into smaller, manageable tasks, I create a sense of momentum and progress. It prevents overwhelm and allows me to celebrate achievements along the way. * Setting deadlines is crucial in my goal-planning process. Assigning realistic timeframes to each step and overall goals provides a sense of urgency and motivation. Deadlines act as powerful milestones to keep me on track and accountable. * Throughout my goal-planning journey, I anticipate challenges and risks. I proactively identify potential obstacles and develop contingency plans. This way, I’m prepared for setbacks and can adapt my strategy without losing sight of my goals. * To ensure continuous progress, I regularly track my performance and review my goals. This allows me to assess what’s working, celebrate successes, and make necessary adjustments. Reflecting on my progress keeps me motivated and encourages personal growth. * While I value self-accountability, seeking support from others is equally important. I surround myself with trusted individuals who provide guidance, encouragement, and hold me accountable. Their input keeps me focused and motivated, especially during challenging times. * Lastly, I remain flexible in my goal planning. I understand that circumstances may change, and adjustments may be necessary. I embrace this flexibility and reassess my goals as needed, ensuring they remain relevant and aligned with my evolving aspirations. * DAILY PROMPTS – CHAOS TO CALM by Karpop Riba > What brings you peace? My kindda peace What brings me peace….. ? ? It’s a multifaceted question that delves into the depths of my being. But if I were to distill it down to its essence, I would say that peace finds me through the curious dance of words. Writing is not merely a means of communication; it is a sanctuary, a portal to a realm where my thoughts flow freely and my emotions take shape. When I put pen to paper or fingertips to keyboard, a magical transformation occurs. The chaos within me aligns into harmonious patterns & the world around me fades into the background. In the realm of the written word, I am both creator and observer, diving into the depths of my imagination and exploring uncharted territories… I can craft worlds, give life to characters, and explore the deepest corners of the human experience. It is a dance between freedom and discipline, where the limits are defined only by the boundaries of my own creativity. In the act of writing, I find solace and a profound sense of self-expression. It is a way to release the thoughts that weigh on my mind and find clarity amidst the intricate tapestry of life. The mere act of stringing words together, carefully crafting sentences and weaving narratives brings a sense of purpose and fulfillment that is both empowering and soothing. But beyond the act of writing itself, there is something captivating about the world of literature. The pages of a book hold immense power. They have the ability to transport us to faraway lands, introduce us to intriguing characters & illuminate profound truths about the human condition. It is within these pages that I find not just stories, but also a sense of connection to something greater than myself. The pursuit of knowledge, the exploration of ideas and the unraveling of the mysteries of existence – these are journeys that bring me peace. Whether I immerse myself in the exquisite prose of a classic novel or unravel the complexities of philosophical texts, the intellectual stimulation and the expansion of horizons bring a profound sense of fulfillment. * DAILY PROMPTS – BACKBONE OF SOCIETY by Karpop Riba > What profession do you admire most and why? While it’s challenging to determine a single best profession as there are countless valuable roles in our society, one profession that I particularly admire and consider of utmost importance is that of teachers. Teachers play a vital role in laying the foundation of knowledge and shaping the minds of future generations. Teachers are not only educators but also mentors and guides who inspire a love for learning, critical thinking, and personal growth in their students. They possess the incredible ability to transform complex concepts into understandable ideas, igniting curiosity and nurturing a thirst for knowledge. Their dedication and passion create an environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and develop their unique talents. What sets teachers apart is their unwavering commitment to their students’ well-being. They go beyond textbooks, recognizing the importance of emotional support and empathy in the learning process. Teachers create safe spaces where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, fostering an inclusive community that celebrates diversity. > “Teachers have the power to unlock minds, inspire hearts, and shape the > future. They are the architects of knowledge and the sculptors of dreams.” Imagine a world without teachers. Without their guidance, support and tireless dedication, there would be no doctors to heal, no astronauts to explore the cosmos, no engineers to innovate, and no artists to inspire. Teachers plant the seeds of interests and passions, nurturing them into flourishing careers that contribute to the betterment of society. Moreover, teachers shape the future by equipping students with essential skills and values. They cultivate a sense of responsibility, ethics, and empathy, molding the leaders, innovators, and responsible citizens of tomorrow. In our ever-evolving world, teachers are essential in preparing students to navigate challenges, think critically, and contribute positively to society. I firmly believe that teachers hold a special place in society. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom, shaping the very fabric of our society. * DAILY PROMPTS – ESCAPING INTO PARALLEL DIMENSIONS. by Karpop Riba > Describe your life in an alternate universe. Once upon a time, nestled snugly between the folds of reality there existed a mesmerizing alternate universe where the rules of mundane existence were tossed out the window. Candlelit skies painted with hues unknown to our feeble eyes, streets paved with stardust, and creatures that defied logic roamed freely. In this enchanting realm, I arrogantly wore the mantle of an illustrious adventurer known far and wide as “The Luminary Wanderer.” My life in this extraordinary universe was a symphony of awe-inspiring escapades and legendary exploits. As The Luminary Wanderer, I fearlessly traversed uncharted lands, braving treacherous jungles and scaling dizzying peaks, all in pursuit of ancient relics and forgotten knowledge. Armed with an insatiable curiosity and a trusty talisman that granted me unparalleled intuition, I became a force to be reckoned with. My days were spent in captivating quests, unraveling mysteries buried deep within forgotten temples or deciphering cryptic riddles hidden in misty meadows. I ventured into the domain of mythical creatures, engaging in exhilarating battles of wits and strength. From duels with fire-breathing dragons to taming the elusive phoenix of the Celestial Peaks, my path was filled with adrenaline-pumping encounters that pushed the boundaries of my courage. But my escapades were not limited to physical challenges alone. In this mesmerizing realm, the power of imagination reigned supreme, and I harnessed this potent energy to shape the world around me. With a mere thought, I conjured majestic castles that reached the heavens, crafted magnificent gardens teeming with magical blooms, and breathed life into my very own pocket dimension, a whimsical realm of wonder to call my own. Amidst the thrill of my adventures, I also found solace in the company of extraordinary beings. Rivers cascaded with shimmering mermaids, wise old sages whispered ancient wisdom, and mischievous fairies danced on moonbeams with a mischievous twinkle in their eyes. These captivating companions reminded me that, even in the boundless expanse of this alternate universe, the real treasures were the connections forged along the way. In the ethereal glow of twilight, when the sky resembled a cosmic tapestry, I would retire to a sanctuary suspended in time—a grand floating library that contained the accumulated knowledge and stories of centuries. Here, amid stacks of ancient tomes and endless mysteries, I would reflect on my adventures, documenting each extraordinary chapter in my ever-growing memoirs. As I reflect upon my life in this captivating alternate universe, I cannot help but imagine the boundless possibilities that await beyond the confines of our reality. It is a reminder that the power of imagination can transport us to realms where dreams take flight and the borders of possibility melt away. * ARE YOU FEELING UPSET BECAUSE THINGS AREN’T GOING THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO ?? by Karpop Riba Listen to me carefully here…. My soul, once a garden of trust, vibrant and lush, Now lies desolate, crushed by indifference and hush Each cherished offering played down with disdain Like fragile petals trampled, my faith left in pain. Apologies, for this melancholic lay But truth must be woven in the tapestry of dismay For trust’s unraveling brings a torturous plight A lamentation sung in shadows of endless night. Within this labyrinth of doubt I wade Where whispers of betrayal weave a masquerade A relentless specter reveling in my plight Spinning tales of torment with relentless might. Oh! how I yearn to abscond from this tormenting strain To heal the fractures and trust’s fragments regain Yet, ensnared in this melancholy’s sanguine haze I languish, shackled to agonizing, damning ways. In this soliloquy of sorrow, no solace is found But remnants of trust scattered upon treacherous ground Still… amid the shards of my fractured belief A flicker of hope, though feeble, seeks relief. So, pardon this pen for its ink drips heavy with woe As classic verses tell of a spirit in turmoil, betrothed, Struggling to rebuild faith’s fortress, stone by stone Yearning for redemption, ‘midst darkness’s throne. © Karpop Riba * “WHISPERS IN THE MOONLIGHT” by Karpop Riba upon a moonlit midnight where shadows danced in gloom… two souls unknowingly collided; fate’s wicked hand did loom.. But within those depths, a fire did ignite, A burning determination to rise and take flight. I stood up amidst the wreckage, dusting off the debris, Unfurling my spirit like a ship on the open sea. For failure is not the end, but a temporary detour, A chance to strengthen my resolve, my dreams to secure. With a warrior’s spirit and a heart that won’t quit, I set out on a journey, fueled by sheer grit. Beneath the weight of doubt, I found my hidden might, Shattered illusions replaced with a steadfast light. I refuse to be defined by the mistakes I’ve made, For every fall has helped me grow, my soul never betrayed. Each stumble, each stumble became a stepping stone, Guiding me closer to the greatness that’s my own. In the realm of setbacks, I sculpted resilience, Molding my character with relentless persistence. With unwavering faith and unyielding belief, I forge my path forward, regardless of the grief. I embrace the challenges as opportunities in disguise, For within each trial, a profound lesson lies. I’ll rise again, undeterred by the odds, A phoenix reborn from the ashes, against all gods. So watch me now as I soar and ascend, Defying the skeptics, refusing to bend. For in the face of failure, I find my resolve, And with each battle fought, my spirit evolves. I failed once, but I will try again, With an impressive resilience that nothing can contain. For I am a force, relentless and true, A testament to the power that resides within you. © Karpop Riba * FLEETING MOMENTS,LASTING MEMORIES by Karpop Riba All things in life are fleeting, with nothing set in stone, For everything that starts must inevitably come to its own. The sky above, once blue and gay; May now be shrouded in clouds, all sullen and grey. Rain falls from the heavens, pelting the earth below A torrential downpour, often times tumbling to and fro.. But fear not, dear soul, for the storm shall soon abate, Leaving in its wake, a world all bright and great. Such is life’s transience, a forever-changing state, One moment in the sun, the next in thirst’s cruel fate. Like leaves that flutter and falter in the wind, Our experiences too, come to a halt, a life-cycle end. Riches and fame, what are they but fleeting hills.. Whose ascent we may fancy but whose decline we must feel? And time, Oh time!! our constant companion and friend, Whose relentless march takes us to journeys’ end. But do not let this leave you melancholy and sad, For every end is but a beginning, a tick in the eternal cad, And so let us embrace the fleeting moments of lives, For in the memories that we make, our immortality thrives. In the end, everything we see, feel, and touch, Will wane and fade away, for such is life’s touch. But in the memories that we leave and the love that we share, Our essence lingers, forevermore, in the world with care. © Karpop Riba * YOU’RE ENOUGH by Karpop Riba * DAILY PROMPTS – by daily prompts > How has technology changed your job? Well, as much as I’d love to say “always,” the truth is, mastering the art of “NO” is a constant work in progress! Let me give you an example. Just the other day, a friend invited me to a last-minute movie marathon. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good movie night. But lately, I’ve been focusing on getting enough sleep to improve my focus and productivity – a key goal for me as a blogger. So, even though the FOMO (fear of missing out) was real, I politely declined. Instead, I used the evening to catch up on some writing and unwind with a relaxing bath – all things that contribute to reaching my goals. Sure, there might be times when saying “yes” is important, like supporting a close friend going through a tough time. But by being mindful of what truly aligns with my goals, I can say “no” more confidently when needed. * THIS IS WHAT I AM DOING ABOUT MY MENTAL HEALTH. by Mental Health Hey everyone, Let’s talk real stuff for a minute. My mental health has been abysmal lately. We’re talking bottomless pit of despair, Netflix on repeat for days, and the only motivation I have is to reach for that extra slice of cake (don’t judge!) Let’s face it, mental health struggles are no joke. Sometimes, you wake up one morning and realize things are… BAD. Really bad. Maybe the joy has drained from your favorite hobbies that nagging anxiety feels like a permanent house guest or the exhaustion is so bone-deep it takes a gallon of coffee just to get dressed. Been there, done that, bought the oversized fuzzy blanket. But here’s the thing: hitting rock bottom can also be a catalyst for change. It can be the wake-up call you needed to prioritize your mental wellbeing. So, if you’re feeling like I was – utterly depleted and ready to break – here’s what I’m doing to climb out of this mental health ditch and some tips you can try too: (more…) * DAILY PROMPTS – by daily prompts > What is your favorite type of weather? RAIN. Rain. It’s not for everyone, I know. Some folks see it as a gloomy nuisance, a stealer of sunshine and outdoor plans. But for me? Why? History class? More like snooze-ville for young me. Don’t get me wrong, the tales of emperors and battles were interesting enough… in theory. But the way most teachers droned on? Forget about it! Then came Gupta Sir. This wasn’t your average history teacher – this guy was Indiana Jones meets a motivational speaker. Here’s why Gupta Sir was a game-changer: History Alive!: Gone were the dusty textbooks and monotone lectures. Gupta Sir transformed the classroom into a time machine with battles roaring and empires rising. Suddenly, history wasn’t a snoozefest it was an adventure! Champion of Potential: Despite catching me napping in the back more times than I care to admit, Gupta Sir never gave up on me. He saw a spark, a potential for deeper understanding buried beneath my eyelids. His constant encouragement, a firm but kind “You can do better,” chipped away at my lethargy. Beyond the Textbook: History wasn’t just names and dates with Gupta Sir. He weaved stories of everyday people, their struggles and triumphs, making history relatable and relevant. Suddenly, the past wasn’t some distant land, it was a window into the human experience. Gupta Sir didn’t just teach history, he ignited a curiosity that continues to this day. He showed me that learning can be an adventure, not a chore and that even a sleepyhead like me could be captivated by the echoes of the past. Thanks, Gupta Sir, for waking me up to the wonders of history! * DAILY PROMPTS – by daily prompts > What tattoo do you want and where would you put it? I’ve always loved the idea of a butterfly tattoo! There’s something so delicate and beautiful about them and the symbolism just resonates with me. For me, a butterfly on the back of my neck would represent transformation. Maybe it’s a reminder of a big change I’ve already been through or maybe it’s a symbol of the growth I’m still striving for. Either way, it’s a constant visual nudge to keep evolving and becoming the best version of myself. There’s also a sense of new beginnings with butterflies like the changing of seasons from winter to spring. It would be a reminder to embrace fresh starts and exciting new chapters in my life. And of course who doesn’t love the idea of freedom? A butterfly taking flight feels symbolic of breaking free from limitations and soaring after my dreams. The back of the neck placement is perfect. It’s a subtle spot, visible when I want it to be a conversation starter but easily hidden with my hair down for a more private touch. * DAILY PROMPTS – by daily prompts > What is one word that describes you? Evolving. I’m constantly learning and improving. It’s like my mind is always growing and changing, which keeps things interesting! There’s a lot I don’t know yet but I’m always eager to learn more.
