Brochure http://www.aristel.com.au/brochures/av.pdf Understanding Local Area Networking (LAN) A Local Area Network network covers a small geographic area, like a home, office, or building. Current LANs are most likely to be based on Ethernet technology. For example, an office will have a wired or wireless LAN for users to interconnect local devices (e.g., printers and servers) connect to the internet. All of the PCs in the office are connected by category 5 (Cat5) cable, running through a system of interconnection devices and eventually connect to the internet. The cables to the servers are on Cat 5e enhanced cable. The staff computers can get to the color printer, checkout records, and the local network and the Internet. Each workgroup can get to there local printer. Note that the printers are not accessible from outside their workgroup. You can also have a VoIP network that also connects to both the Internet and a local network. They could have paths to the central PABX System via the lacol network. Depending on the circumstance, the computers in the network might be connected using cables or a wireless network cards. Other networks might be connected strictly wirelessly. It depends on the number of PCs that you are trying to connect, the physical layout of your workspace, and the various needs of network. Telephone Management Systems We also supply and install Hard & Soft Telephone Management stems which monitors all calls in and out of your PBX system. By means of pin code dialing all staff members are giving a pin code in order to make telephone calls. This you are able to control calls and could save up to 30% on phone calls. Hard and Soft Design Telephone Management Software provides effective solutions to increase productivity and control telephone costs simultaneously helping a business to grow. 3 options of connection: 1) PABX connected to buffer via LAN and buffer connected via LAN to computer 2) PABX connected to buffer via LAN and buffer connected via serial(RS232) to computer 3) PABX connected to buffer via serial (RS232) and buffer connnected vai LAN to computer To download brochure http://hsd.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=28
