FAQS ABOUT THE SERVICE

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

This service is for Emergency Service Workers, active and retired, aged 18 years
and over.

This includes Fire Fighters, Forest Fire Management, Animal Rescue, Marine
Rescue, Police, Paramedics, State Emergency Services and other Emergency Service
Workers.

For youth under the age of 18, there are a range of resources and fact
sheets available to guide and support youth mental health specifically.

WHAT LOCATIONS DOES IT COVER?

This support service is available Australia wide. It can be accessed online and
consultations with clinicians can be conducted via telehealth so you don’t need
to live in NSW to access them. You can attend face-to-face in Sydney or via
telehealth Australia wide.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

Absolutely nothing. This service is funded by the Australian Government.

All services, support and resources are free of charge.

WHO IS GOING TO SEE MY DATA?

Your responses to the online tools are anonymous and confidential. If you
receive support via the clinical service, we will need to collect some personal
details for our clinical records. If you have concerns about your privacy we’re
happy to discuss this with you on a call.

DO I NEED A GP REFERRAL TO BOOK A SESSION OR TO USE THE RESOURCES?

No, you do not need a referral. If you want us to contact your GP then you can
let us know when you register with us and we can contact them with your consent.

I FEEL MENTALLY WELL. CAN I STILL USE THIS SERVICE?

Yes. The online mental health check is a great way to check how you’re going and
to see where you sit even if you’re feeling well.

If you’re not experiencing any symptoms, there are resources available to assist
with the prevention of mental health issues and to encourage ongoing healthy
habits and wellbeing.
