COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 RESPONSE

COVID-19 RESPONSE

Your health is our highest priority. As the coronavirus pandemic has evolved, so
have we. Our Invitation Homes COVID-19 task force closely follows the guidance
of local, state, and national officials, as well as the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC). Thank you for working with us and taking the
necessary precautions to keep your family and our associates as safe as
possible.

STAY INFORMED AND TAKE PRECAUTIONS.

The CDC recommends the following to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Wear a mask

Stay 6 feet apart

Avoid crowds

Get a vaccine

WE’RE GETTING THROUGH THIS – TOGETHER.

Invitation Homes associates work hard every day to keep our 80,000 families in
their homes and to provide an exceptional resident experience. We are proud of
how we’ve helped and supported thousands of families during this unprecedented
challenge, and we will keep doing the right thing by continuing to assist our
residents with payment plans, rental assistance and more.

INCOME RESOURCES

Invitation Homes has helped thousands of our residents find and secure financial
assistance and additional support available through government and third-party
agencies.

The U.S. Department of Treasury has made funding available to states, U.S.
territories, local governments, and Indian tribes or Tribally Designated Housing
Entities to assist households that are unable to pay rent or utilities. Click
here for details and an index of all emergency rental assistance programs to
find assistance near you.

In addition, some renters insurance policies offer unemployment coverage
provisions. Read your policy and contact your insurance provider to see if you
qualify for this optional coverage. There may also be other loan opportunities
with a 401K retirement fund or other assets.

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP STATEMENT

Please be aware that rent is due on the first of the month, unless you have made
other payment arrangements with us. If you are still unable to make your full
rent payment due to COVID-19, please contact us by clicking the button below.
We’ll email you a link to a Hardship Statement to confirm that you have a
pandemic-related financial hardship preventing you from paying rent as required
by your lease. Requesting or submitting a Hardship Statement does not waive
existing or future rent payments.

THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

We truly appreciate your patience as we work directly with a large number
of residents and their unique situations. Invitation Homes is committed to
working with residents impacted by the pandemic and to being fully compliant
with all state and local protections.

COVID-19 FAST ANSWERS

WHAT MAINTENANCE SERVICES ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE?

As Invitation Homes continues to respond to service requests, we’re taking extra
measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus through our new Contactless
Service Visits.

We’re in this together, so we’re asking you to help prevent the spread by taking
the same precautions we’ve asked our technicians to take when entering your
home. Keeping our visits as contactless as possible is our way of taking care of
you, and a way for you to take care of others.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS TAKING TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF THE
VIRUS?

Our maintenance technicians will make your service visit as contactless as
possible by taking the following safety precautions:

• Staying home if ill.

• Practicing social distancing (staying at least six feet away from you in your
home).

• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including face masks, gloves, and
shoe coverings.

• Touching only the areas of your home that need to be repaired.

Please take similar precautions as technicians enter your home. Find out how
Contactless Service works. >>

ARE INVITATION HOMES LOCAL OFFICES OPEN TO VISITORS?

To comply with the social-distancing recommendations of medical experts, we have
closed our offices to visitors temporarily. Associates will be available by
phone or email during regular business hours.

Payments can be made on the resident payment portal and office drop boxes will
continue to be accessible. Learn more about online payment options here.

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF EVICTIONS?

At Invitation Homes, we’re in the business of housing families, so eviction is
never a course we want to pursue. Since early in the pandemic, we’ve been
working with our residents facing COVID-related financial hardships and offering
a variety of payment options so they can stay in their homes. As always, we will
continue to follow all government directives.

WHAT IF I AM A HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM PARTICIPANT (SECTION 8)?

If your household has experienced a loss of income, such as a furlough or layoff
due to COVID-19, you should request interim recertification through the normal
process, by contacting your Public Housing Authority to give notice of your
income decrease.

Some Public Housing Authorities also have COVID-19 hardship assistance programs.
Click here for a directory of Public Housing Authorities.

HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF AND MY LOVED ONES AND PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?

We are all working together to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please follow the
Steps to Prevent Illness from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to
protect you and your loved ones. Keep checking the Invitation Homes this page
for updates on our response to COVID-19.
