Yes No -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CODE OF CONDUCT FOR VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES Meta's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together, including through virtual experiences. Building communities means allowing people to use their voice to share their experiences, views and ideas, even if some may disagree or find them objectionable. We expect everyone – including users, creators, admins and developers – to adhere to our values of voice, safety, authenticity, dignity and privacy. Because context such as community culture and intention matters, creators and admins will be primarily responsible for addressing issues in the closed experiences they govern, and as such, enforcement and experiences may vary. Where issues go unaddressed by creators or admins, developers are expected to follow this Code of Conduct by limiting features for users, creators or admins within their app or removing users from the app. Meta may take similar actions within its own apps. Persistent or egregious issues not resolved by admins or developers may be directly addressed by Meta as a platform, through actions such as limiting developer access or app removal. The following conduct and content are contrary to the values above: * Don't do or promote anything that is designed to deceive other users, Meta or developers, or that otherwise abuse our products or services, such as: * Pretending to be another person or entity, stealing someone's identity, or creating or using fake accounts (If role-playing or parodying, make sure that this is clear to others) * Engaging in fraud, scams or other deceptive activities * Gathering or sharing sensitive personal information, doxing others, compromising user accounts, sharing account login information, engaging in unauthorised access or sharing malware * Creating or using a Meta account if you're under the age of 13 * Don't do or promote anything that's illegal, abusive or could lead to physical harm, such as: * Sexualising, exploiting or abusing minors * Bullying, harassing, stalking or hateful behaviour * Advocating, engaging in or promoting violence, human exploitation, human trafficking or human smuggling. Supporting or representing groups or individuals involved in terrorism, hate-based organisations or criminal groups * Promoting or coordinating acts of physical harm, such as sexual or physical assault, or suicide or self-harm * Any form of non-consensual intimate activity, including sharing intimate images of others without consent * Violating intellectual property rights, such as improperly using copyrighted or trademarked materials * Unlawfully selling, exchanging or promoting regulated goods Public spaces such as open lobbies, multiplayer games and public events create special opportunities for broad audiences. Please be especially mindful of your behaviour and content in public experiences and spaces, as not all speech and behaviour that might be acceptable in a closed experience is acceptable in a public experience. Also, do not take advantage of the unique characteristics of public experiences by sharing content that others do not wish to see. Developers (including Meta) may take action on users or experiences if these behaviours take place in public experiences, given their unique characteristics. Do not: * Spam others (repeatedly offer commercial services, goods or requests) or promote regulated goods or services * Engage in or share sexually explicit or excessively violent behaviour or content. Developers, as well as creators and admins within apps, may also establish their own rules – above and beyond this Code of Conduct – so please make sure that you read their rules as well. You also must comply with applicable laws, including local laws. We'll continue to update this guidance to help everyone better understand their responsibilities as we continue to create new experiences and innovate in virtual experiences. Yes No -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REPORTING SOMEONE ON META QUEST AND RIFT S If you notice that someone isn't following the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences, you can report them from your device or by completing a form on the Meta website. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- META QUEST 2 AND META QUEST To report someone on Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest: 1. Press on your controller to access the app menu. 2. Select Report abuse. 3. Select Start recording to capture video of the user or interaction you are reporting, or select Upload video if you've already captured a recording of the user or interaction. * If you select Start recording, a recording will automatically begin and a small red light will appear on your screen. Select Resume to return to the app. To end the recording, press and select . You can then review the video that you recorded and select Continue or Record new video. * If you select Upload video, select the video you want to upload from your Camera Roll. 4. Select the user you would like to report from the pre-populated list, or search for their username using the search bar at the top. 5. Select the reason for your report from the Tell us what happened menu, then select Continue. 6. Review the details of your created report then select Submit report. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RIFT S AND RIFT To report someone on Rift S or Rift: 1. Press on your Touch controller to access the toolbar. 2. Using your Touch controller, point at the clock on the right-hand side of your toolbar to view the menu. 3. Select Report Abuse. 4. If you want to capture a video of the user or interaction you are reporting, select Video Report from the prompt. Otherwise, select Report. * If you select Video Report, you'll be taken back to the app you were in, a recording will automatically begin and a small red light will appear on your screen. You can end the recording by pressing on your controller or waiting for 2.5 minutes. 5. Select the user you would like to report from the pre-populated list or search for their username in the search bar at the top. 6. Select the reason for your report from the Let Us Know What Happened menu. 7. Go to our Report a person for abuse form. 2. If you discover a broken feature or bug while using Meta Quest headset, you can send us a report from your headset or the Meta Quest mobile app. To report a bug from your headset: 1. Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu. 2. Hover over the clock on the left-hand side of the universal menu. When Quick settings appears, select it to open the Quick settings panel. 3. Select Report a problem. 4. Follow the instructions to submit your bug report. To report a bug from the Meta Quest mobile app: 1. Shake your phone until the Report a problem screen appears. 2. Tap Something isn't working. 3. Follow the instructions to submit your bug report.
