Due to the implementation of enhanced security measures at the universities, access to university campus may be restricted to staff and students only. Customers wishing to visit university branches are encouraged to call our Customer Service Hotline at 2822 0228 in advance. The Bank apologise for any inconvenience caused. WHAT'S NEW 1. SEVERE WEATHER TRADING ARRANGEMENT Starting from 23 Sep 2024, the relevant arrangements for trading of listed securities and derivatives during severe weather conditions will be implemented. SCHEDULED SYSTEM UPGRADE ON 1 SEP 2024 Due to system upgrade, service for adding card to mobile wallet and authorizing card-not-present transactions for commercial cards via SMS will be temporarily unavailable from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on 1 Sep 2024. Please make arrangements in advance to avoid any inconveniences. 4. CHANGES TO MOBILE CHEQUE DEPOSIT SERVICE Starting from 24 Aug 2024, our Mobile Cheque Deposit service will no longer support dividend cheques, cashier’s orders, gift cheques, customised cheques and standard cheques printed on or before Jul 2009. Please click here for details. 6. “SMS SENDER REGISTRATION SCHEME” HELPS YOU VERIFY HANG SENG SMS To prevent fraudsters from masquerading as reputable organizations and sending SMS to customers and to protect Hong Kong mobile users from fraud SMS messages, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA), the telecommunications and bank industry have established the SMS Sender Registration Scheme (SMSRS) to assist the public in ascertaining the authenticity of SMS sender addresses, thereby combatting deception cases. In order to help you verify the authenticity of SMS messages, starting from 28 January 2024, Hang Seng will use "Registered SMS Sender IDs" with the prefix "#" to send SMS messages.Browse Hang Seng sender ID list and details 7. BEWARE OF MALWARE SCAMS To protect your device and personal data from unauthorised online banking transactions, you should avoid downloading any malicious software that may disguise itself as legitimate mobile apps, games, or discount vouchers. Additionally, screen sharing, mirroring, screenshots, or recording functions cannot be performed on the Hang Seng business mobile banking to prevent personal information leakage.View more security tips 8. NEW ARRANGEMENT FOR UNREGISTERED PRE-PAID SIM CARDS Unregistered pre-paid SIM cards can’t be used after 23 Feb 2023 according to the Office of the Communication Authority. To access all Business Banking services and receive our notifications, please register with your service provider or update another valid contact number (if any) in our record if you're using an unregistered pre-paid card number with us. 9. CHEQUE BOOK FEE FOR INTEGRATED BUSINESS SOLUTION ACCOUNT AND CURRENT ACCOUNT Cheque Book Fee of HKD50 per book for Integrated Business Solution Account and Current Account to be introduced from 1 Oct 2022. 10. New physical Security Device is no longer issued effective from August 2022. 11. RAPID DESIGNATED BENEFICIARY REGISTRATION PROCEDURE The effective days of Designated Beneficiary Registration via Business e-Banking had been shorten to 1 working day from 3 working day. 12. UPDATE ON E-BANKING TRADING TIME OF PAPER GOLD Starting from 1 September 2021, Paper Gold e-banking trading time would be extended to Monday 6:00am to Saturday 3:29am and Saturday 8:00am to 12:54pm. No service in the following timeslots: 1). Full day of New Year's Day, Good Friday and its following day, Christmas Day, and Hong Kong public holidays that falls on Saturdays; 2). From 0:00am to 6:00am on the day following New Year's Day, Christmas Day and specific US holidays (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day). 13. YOU CAN CHECK ALL E-STATEMENTS FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS ONLINE FROM TODAY From now on, you can register e-Statement online and check all e-Statements for the past 7 years, including the copy of received mail paper statement by post. 14. ONLINE BANKING SECURITY PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DIGITAL KEYS, BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT LINKS * We will never ask you to log on to your Business e-Banking, or to provide sensitive personal and company information such as your login credentials or one-time passwords through embedded links in SMS or emails. To safeguard your interests, do not provide any personal and company information, download any suspicious mobile applications via links or activate / switch your Mobile Security Key to a new device under third party’s instruction. View more security tips WHEN YOU LOG IN TO HANG SENG BUSINESS E-BANKING * Always access our Business e-Banking by keying in the website address (www.hangseng.com) at the address bar of the browser. Never gain access via hyperlinks embedded in emails, unknown sources such as pop-up windows or search results from internet search engines. * Avoid opening additional internet browsers sessions when your internet banking session is open. * If you encounter slow response or unusual screen pop-up, log out from Hang Seng Business e-Banking immediately and scan your computer with the most updated anti-virus software. * Always check the last login date and time after logging in your Hang Seng Business e-Banking. * Avoid conducting banking transactions or check account balances from a public terminal. * Always log out properly and close the browser after you have finished using e-Banking Services. Never leave your e-Banking session unattended while using Hang Seng e-Banking Services. * If any unauthorized logon activity, suspicious logon behavior or website is found, please contact the Bank immediately at (852) 2198 8000. INSTALL FIREWALL AND ANTI-VIRUS PROTECTION * Ensure your computer or mobile device has updated firewall and anti-virus software installed. The software should be updated regularly to protect you against new hacking attempts. Make sure the software is the latest version, otherwise you may encounter system error when using our online banking services. * Never open email attachments or URLs unless you know they are from a safe and reputable source. * To protect your computer against viruses and online threats, an end-point security solution - Webroot SecureAnywhere will be available for free download after logging in Hang Seng Business e-Banking. SAFEGUARD YOUR PASSWORDS * Change your password on a regular basis, at least every 60 days. * Keep your password confidential. Do not write down or reveal your password to anyone. Our Bank staff will never ask for your password. * Avoid using your birthday, name, ID card number, telephone number or other similar numbers as your password. MAKING ONLINE PAYMENT * Always verify the Beneficiary / Payee information before submitting the instruction to avoid unnecessary mistakes making the payment to unintended recipient. * Always notify the Bank to update the contact information if there is any change in mobile phone number. Please ensure you will be able to receive the notifications that is sent to your mobile device via your selected delivery channel. * Review the payment details sent to your mobile devices (including SMS and WeChat) and contact our Bank immediately for any suspicion. * Review transaction records or statements regularly. Report to the bank if suspicious transaction is found. * Set up dual authorisation control will provide extra protection for your online transactions.
