THERE IS NO FOOD IN THEIR HOME IN #GAZA. WHEN THEY MANAGE TO FIND A BOTTLE OF
WATER, THEY SHARE IT AMONG THEMSELVES. SOME DAYS, KHALED AND SIHAM GO WITH
NOTHING TO EAT TO LEAVE THE LITTLE THEY HAVE FOR THEIR CHILDREN.#GAZA

📍#Ukraine. Let’s step Behind the Lens with WFP Communications Officer and
visual storyteller Antoine Vallas, who’ll share with us what it’s like to
witness Ukranians’ strength and resilience. ‘As long as we keep moving, we are
alive’ says Vitalii, the manager of a bakery who struck Antoine for his
dedication to his job 🥖

🌀 The effects of climate change remain clear: typhoons are becoming more
frequent and intense. In Bicol, #Philippines, communities still grapple from the
impacts of #KristinePH and #PepitoPH. As we continue to complement the
Government-led response, WFP appeals for additional resources to meet the needs
and support the recovery of affected families. 🙌

🌿 Increasing land desertification is impacting the food security of many
communities across the globe. 👋 WFP is at #COP16 to spotlight solutions that

🌙 🌿 Ever heard of Half Moons? Learn about them with videographer and educator
Andrew Millison. 🌳 Over the last five years, WFP and partners have restored
over 300,000 hectares of land across the #Sahel, transforming the lives of 4
million people in 3,400 villages. WFP is at #COP16 to showcase and discuss
solutions to increase communities’ resilience in light of the expansion of land
desertification that is affecting their food security.

🚨 #Sudan update: WFP is alarmed by recent attacks in Zamzam camp - the only
place in the world where famine is confirmed - which could delay vital aid
convoys. ➡️ Sudan risks becoming the largest hunger crisis in recent history.

💚🌳 Ecosystem restoration in action! WFP-assisted communities in Niger are
turning barren lands into carbon sinks, fertile fields, and grazing grounds.
Together, we’re tackling hunger, climate change, and biodiversity loss. Hear
more from videographer and educator Andrew Millison. 🌿 WFP is at #COP16 to
spotlight solutions that enhance community resilience in the face of increasing
land desertification that’s impacting their food security

Did you know soil is the largest water reservoir terrestrially? 🤎💧Why is that
important? Hear from WFP Somalia's Derek Makokha to learn what is a healthy land
and why is it the foundation for sustainable solutions to hunger. #WorldSoilDay

🚨 #Sudan update. Intense shelling in North Darfur’s Zamzam camp - the only
place in the world where famine is confirmed – is disrupting the distribution of
WFP food assistance to families in the camp. The attacks could also delay the
arrival of WFP aid convoys that are en route to the camp. Regular deliveries of
food assistance to families in Zamzam camp is the only way to turn the tide of
famine. ➡️ WFP is extremely concerned for the safety of civilians in the camp
and our partners on ground. A convoy of WFP trucks arrived in Zamzam on 22
November with food assistance for 12,500 people, the first WFP food to reach the
camp in months. All the food assistance from that convoy has been distributed to
families - but there are many more people in need. 📢 WFP calls for safe passage
for humanitarian convoys carrying food aid to the famine-hit displacement camp.

🚨All bakeries in central #Gaza have shut down due to severe supply shortages.
🫓🚫 Bread is a lifeline for many families — often the only food they can
access. Now, even that is slipping out of reach. ➡️ WFP continues its call for
safe & secure access of vital humanitarian aid into Gaza.

🚨Update from #Sudan. Today, the first convoy of WFP food assistance arrived in
North Darfur’s Zamzam camp, where #famine has already been confirmed. ➡️ More
than 700 trucks carrying enough food for 1.5 million people are en route to
communities across the country as WFP teams navigate impassable roads, fighting,
and other access constraints to reach millions of people worst impacted by
raging conflict. 📢 The people of Sudan need our support and, above all, peace.

“We don’t even have water for our garden” says Willem. #Namibia faces the harsh
reality of the climate crisis. WFP stands with the government, working to
protect livelihoods and ensure families like Willem’s don’t go to bed hungry.
