Anantech Ventures Private Limited, established on July 5, 2011, is a dynamic and
diversified enterprise with a strong presence in the iron and steel production
sector, commodity trading, and the construction equipment industry.
Headquartered in Delhi, India, the company leverages the rich mineral resources
of Jharkhand to deliver high- quality Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), provide
reliable construction equipment solutions, and engage in profitable commodity
trading of coal and iron ore.

The company operates in two main verticals: the production of DRI through its
subsidiary Smridhi Sponge Limited and the distribution of CASE Construction
Equipment. Additionally, Anantech Ventures engages in specialized commodity
trading of coal and iron ore.




OUR PRODUCTION PROCESS

At Smridhi Sponge Limited, we employ the rotary kiln process for the production
of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI). Our facility boasts two state-of-the-art rotary
kilns, each with a capacity of 100 metric tons per day, ensuring a combined
production capacity of 200 metric tons per day.

SPONGE IRON MANUFACTURING PROCESS


RAW MATERIAL PREPARATION

We begin with the careful selection of high-quality iron ore pellets or lumps,
non-coking coal, and dolomite/limestone as flux. These raw materials are
meticulously sourced to ensure the highest quality output.


ROTARY KILN SETUP

Our rotary kilns are cylindrical, refractory-lined furnaces that rotate about
their axes and are slightly inclined to facilitate material movement from the
feed end to the discharge end.


CHARGING

The prepared raw materials are continuously fed into the rotary kiln from the
feed end. This constant supply of raw materials ensures a steady flow through
the kiln.


HEATING

The kiln is heated to a temperature range of 800-1050°C using a combination of
air and fuel. This high temperature generates the necessary reducing gases,
primarily carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2), from the coal.

REDUCTION

Inside the kiln, the reducing gases interact with the iron ore, removing oxygen
from the ore and converting it into sponge iron. This reduction process is
facilitated by the continuous rotation and the inclined setup of the kiln, which
ensures thorough mixing and uniform exposure to the reducing atmosphere.


SCREENING AND HANDLING

Once cooled, the sponge iron is screened to separate any impurities and fines.
The final product is then stored in silos or dispatched directly to customers.
