Is there a cost associated with a business consultation?

There is no associated cost or expectation to purchase. Our product experts are
here to answer your questions, discuss technology options for your business, and
provide insightful advice with zero pressure to buy.



How do I join my online appointment? Do I need to download Microsoft Teams?

You do not need to download the Microsoft Teams app; however, it will offer an
optimal experience. To join your appointment, simply select the “Join your
appointment” button provided in your confirmation or reminder emails and sign in
as a guest through a web browser.

 

If joining via desktop browser, we recommend using Edge or Chrome to ensure a
fully supported experience. Other browsers may experience problems joining the
session. Select “Allow” when prompted by the browser for access to your
microphone and camera. (You’ll have the option to mute your microphone and turn
off video before joining and at any point during the call.) Then provide your
name and select the “Join now” button to enter the virtual lobby. A Microsoft
Store associate will admit you into your session.

 

If joining via smartphone or tablet, the page will open in your mobile browser.
Enter your name and select the “Get started” button. Select “Allow” when
prompted by the browser for access to your microphone and camera. (You’ll have
the option to mute your microphone and turn off video before joining and at any

How long do sessions last?

Business consultations last up to 60 minutes and product training sessions last
up to 30 minutes. If you need more time, your business product expert will be
happy to help you schedule a follow-up during your initial call.



Can I book an appointment on behalf of someone?

Yes, as long as the account holder is 18 years or older and will be in the
session.



If I live outside of the United States, can I still book an appointment?

We are currently supporting US, CA, UK, and AU customers. If you reside in one
of these regions, please visit the appropriate regional site to book a
consultation.



Can I schedule a follow-up appointment with the same product expert?

Yes, but you’ll need to do this on your first call with the product expert.
They’ll schedule the follow-up consultation for you.



Will I be able to purchase products through this consultation?

Yes. Our product experts will give you the option to add items to your own cart
or let them add items to your cart and complete the transaction on your behalf.
We can also discuss payment solutions available through Microsoft Store.



Will I be able to get technical support through this appointment?

No. These sessions will support you specifically with either purchasing, setup,

Is there a cost associated with a product training appointment?

There is no associated cost. We are happy to help you learn how to use and make
the most of your Microsoft products.



How do I join my online appointment? Do I need to download Microsoft Teams?

You do not need to download the Microsoft Teams app; however, it will offer an
optimal experience. To join your appointment, simply select the “Join your
appointment” button provided in your confirmation or reminder emails and sign in
as a guest through a web browser.

 

If joining via desktop browser, we recommend using Edge or Chrome to ensure a
fully supported experience. Other browsers may experience problems joining the
session. Select “Allow” when prompted by the browser for access to your
microphone and camera. (You’ll have the option to mute your microphone and turn
off video before joining and at any point during the call.) Then provide your
name and select the “Join now” button to enter the virtual lobby. A Microsoft
Store associate will admit you into your session.

 

If joining via smartphone or tablet, the page will open in your mobile browser.
Enter your name and select the “Get started” button. Select “Allow” when
prompted by the browser for access to your microphone and camera. (You’ll have
the option to mute your microphone and turn off video before joining and at any
point during the call.) Select “Join meeting lobby” and a Microsoft Store
associate will admit you into the session.



Will I be able to get technical support through this appointment?

No. These sessions will support you specifically with either purchasing, setup,
or training on your new device or software. If you need technical support to
solve an issue or want to browse FAQs on a product you own, please visit
Microsoft Support for help



How long do sessions last?

Business consultations last up to 60 minutes and product training sessions last
up to 30 minutes. If you need more time, your business product expert will be
happy to help you schedule a follow-up during your initial call.



What types of products can I get help with during my appointment?

Our product experts can help you learn essential skills and explore features in
Microsoft 365, Surface, or any PC device that runs on Windows Pro.



Can I schedule a follow-up appointment with the same expert?

Yes, but you’ll need to do this on your first call with the expert. They’ll
schedule the follow-up session for you.



Can I book an appointment on behalf of someone?

Yes, you can book for someone else as long as they’re 18 years or older and will
be in the session.



If I live outside of the United States, can I still book an appointment?

We are currently supporting US, CA, and AU customers. If you reside in one of
these regions, please visit the appropriate regional site to book a training
session.



Will I need to be on camera during the session?

No, you have the option to turn your camera off or on at any point during the
call.



Will this session be recorded?

Some customers find it useful to record the session for reference, but it’s up
to you. At the beginning of the session, you’ll be given the option to record.
You can then opt in, or out.



Can I use this service if I have a hearing disability?

Yes, captions can be turned on during the conversation.



How do I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

You can make changes to your booking here. You’ll need the confirmation number
found in your confirmation email.
