WHERE IS CANCER RESEARCH HEADING NEXT?

In some of his latest research, Dr. Wayne Newhauser, the LSU Department of
Physics & Astronomy’s Dr. Charles M. Smith Chair in Medical Physics, along with
LSU doctoral alumnus Will Donahue are the first to fully detail blood flow
through any single organ or tissue through computational modeling.

WHAT MAKES THIS INVASIVE, NON-NATIVE REED GRASS THRIVE IN THE WETLANDS?

LSU researchers collaborated with Tulane University and the USGS to study the
genomic bases of P. australis and to investigate what exactly makes the invasive
reed grass subspecies thrive in wetlands, in comparison to its native
counterpart.

HOW ARE WE MAKING SPACE TRAVEL SAFER FOR ASTRONAUTS AND EQUIPMENT?

The Tiger Eye 1 research mission is part of a multi-disciplinary
university-industry collaboration to make future space travel safer for people
and equipment by providing insight into the complex radiation environment in
