EBL | Employee Benefit Lounge ℠ * Full-Time Info * Benefits * Payroll * Retirement * Part-Time Info * Benefits * Payroll * Retirement * Full-time to Part-time/Adjunct LEAVING THE UNIVERSITY The last day of your employment triggers the end of your employee benefits. An outline of your benefits and the continuation options follows: RETIREMENT PLAN AND TRUST: If you are a partcipant in the SNHU Retirement Plan, the University will mail you a letter to your home address within a month of your termination date that details whether you are a vested or unvested participant in the SNHU Retirement plan(401a). Withdrawals from the plan are done once a year in the fall for all those vested participants that have terminated prior to 8/31 of that year, this process will be detailed in the letter you receive. Remember to keep SNHU aware of any address changes so that we may contact you on these important items! Vested participants can not withdraw from their retirement account while an employee at the University (i.e. remaining an adjunct, part-time or seasonal worker). If you no longer wish to retain your employee status by holding these positions, please contact a Human Resource Representative to formally resign and therefore trigger your vested participant rights. Information on the plan can be found at SNHU Retirement Plan Page for Former Employees. If you have further questions regarding the SNHU Retirement Plan please create a case in Workday Help prior to your last day or call Renee Dickson at 603-665-2729. TUITION BENEFITS: Tuition benefits will end as a result of your leaving the University. If you are currently receiving tuition benefits, please contact benefits@snhu.edu to review how this will affect the benefit and/or taxable tuition. FINAL PAY: Your final paycheck will typically be on the next scheduled pay date inclusive of any unused accrued paid time off. This timeline is dependent upon state regulations and may vary by employee. Please be sure to review and update your mailing address within your Workday account prior to your last day. Should you need to make any changes to you address after your last day, please notify Human Resources at workday4u@snhu.edu if you make any changes to your mailing address. It is important we have a current address for any future correspondence, including your W-2 information. Post separation, you will no longer have access to Workday. To retain access to your pay statements after your separation date, go to https://ipay.adp.com to register for an account with our payroll partner, ADP. RETURN OF EQUIPMENT: Within two weeks post termination, if applicable, you will receive an email to your personal email address with instructions for returning your SNHU issued equipment (laptop, monitor, badge, mouse, keyboard, etc). Please note that not all sections are applicable to all former employees. Please refer to the contact information in each section should you have questions or require additional information.
