×

This Privacy Statement was last updated on 24 June 2021

INTRODUCTION

This privacy statement explains the personal information collected through PwC’s
identity and access management system (referred to in this privacy statement as
“PwC Identity”) and provides information about individuals’ rights in relation
to personal data. Personal data collected in connection with PwC Identity
registration may be used for any of the purposes described in this privacy
statement. The data controller of personal information collected in connection
with PwC Identity is the PwC member firm that collected your personal
information as part of the PwC Identity registration process and that is
responsible for authenticating your access to PwC systems and applications as
part of the services it provides to the organization you are connected with.
This will be one of the PwC member firms listed here:
https://www.pwc.com/gx/en/about/corporate-governance/legal-entities.html.

In this privacy statement, “PwC,” “us,” and “we” refers to the PwC member firm
that is the data controller of the personal information held for your PwC
Identity registration. In this privacy statement, we refer to information about
you or information that identifies you as “personal data” or “personal
information”. We also sometimes collectively refer to handling, collecting,

information collected for PwC Identity. It does not apply to any other products,
services or sites of PwC or any other party.

By providing personal information for PwC Identity, you acknowledge you have
read this privacy statement, and, to the extent your consent is necessary and
valid under applicable law, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of
such personal information by PwC and third party recipients in accordance with
this privacy statement.

WHAT IS PWC IDENTITY?

PwC Identity is a solution that enables secure, web-based access to PwC systems
and applications from any browser on any device. It enables PwC to give you
access to the applications you need and restricts access to applications you do
not need access to. PwC Identity enables a single sign-on process that permits
you to enter credentials only once in order to access multiple PwC applications.
It authenticates you for all applications that you have the right to access and
eliminates the process of entering your login and ID again when you switch to
another application during a session.

PWC IDENTITY DOES NOT REQUIRE SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA

systems because the authentication information, including password recovery
information, for them is sent to your phone. PwC may collect limited additional
information about you when you access a PwC website or system, including your
user name and IP address.

data centres around the world, and personal data may be stored in any one of

that have access to personal data (sub-processors). It is our policy to use only
third party providers that are bound to maintain appropriate levels of security
and confidentiality, to process personal information only as instructed by PwC,
and to flow those same obligations down to their sub-processors.

● with professional advisers, for example, law firms, as necessary to establish,
exercise or defend our legal rights and obtain advice in connection with the
running of our businesses. Personal data may be shared with these advisers as
necessary in connection with the services they have been engaged to provide;
● when explicitly requested by you; and
● to law enforcement, regulatory and other government agencies and to
professional bodies, as required by and/or in accordance with applicable law or
regulation. PwC may also review and use your personal information to determine
whether disclosure is required or permitted.

We adhere to internationally recognised standards of technology and operational
security in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration
and destruction. Only authorised persons are provided access to personal
information. These individuals have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of
this information. We have a framework of policies and procedures in place
covering data protection, confidentiality and security and regularly review the
appropriateness of the measures we have in place to keep the data we hold
secure.

Although we use appropriate security measures once we have received your
personal data, the transmission of data over the Internet (including by email)
is never completely secure. We endeavor to protect personal data, but we cannot
guarantee the security of data transmitted electronically over the Internet.

request to your PwC contact. However, if we delete your account, you won’t be
able to use any PwC website or system which uses PwC Identity to authenticate
users.

Identity account or PwC deletes your PwC Identity account because you have not
used PwC Identity to access a PwC website or system for two years, whichever

their local country. We never knowingly collect or maintain personal information
about people under the age of 18.
