THE VETERINARY SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Veterinary scientists play a critical role in the discovery and development of
new vaccines and pharmaceutical products for veterinary and human health. The
Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program provides an opportunity to
introduce veterinary medical students to hands-on research through an annual
10-12-week summer program at participating colleges.

THE VETERINARY SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Boehringer Ingelheim Research Award for Veterinary Students highlights and
underscores our mission to expose veterinary students to biomedical research and
potential research career paths.

BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM RESEARCH AWARD FOR GRADUATE VETERINARIANS

The Boehringer Ingelheim Research Award for Graduate Veterinarians reinforces
our mission to promote research in veterinary biosciences and reward those who
have excelled in their graduate or residency program.

How to Apply

PROGRAM DIRECTORS

Boehringer Ingelheim invites veterinary schools to apply for funding support for
their institution’s summer research opportunities program for veterinary
students. Funding is provided as a matching grant. Applications are submitted
and reviewed on an annual basis.

How to Apply

USDA SCHOLARS PROGRAM

This program is made possible by funding provided by the National Bio and
Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Boehringer Ingelheim and USDA ARS. Joining forces
in 2021 to offer veterinary students the opportunity to research diseases that
could affect livestock and public health.
