SURAH AL-KAHF PDF Pdf Surah Kahf SURAH KAHF AUDIO MEANING OF SURAH KAHF Surah Kahf or Surah Al Kahf is a mecci Surah. Kahf means cave in Arabic. Surah Kahf mentions such young men who did not compromise with their faith or took shelter in a cave to save their faith or life. Allah has told us that He can do what has crossed our imagination, like keeping a young man in a cave for more than 100 years. In Surah Kahf, we have also revealed the miracle of not having faith in Qayamat. MESSAGE IN SURAH KAHF Surah Kahf instructs us to stick to our faith. To do no shirk or to always seek God’s help. The Day of Resurrection or Resurrection is also mentioned. The appearance of Yajooj Majoj before Qayamat is also mentioned. WHEN SURAH KAHF REVEALED Sarah Kahf was revealed before Prophet Muhammad’s migration to Medina, hence it has been called Mecca Saurah.Surah Kahf was revealed in the fifth year of prophethood WHY SURAH KAHF REVEALED OFFER FROM QURAISH Once Prophet Muhammad’s uncle accepted Islam, the people of the Quraysh tribe noticed and began to show curiosity about Islam. However, many still held onto their ways, worshiping idols and following the customs of their ancestors. The leaders of Mecca called Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to a meeting near the Kaaba. They offered him wealth, power, and even kingship, hoping he would abandon his mission. But with firm resolve, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reminded them that he was sent by Allah to invite people to the truth of Islam, not to seek worldly gain. DEMAND OF MIRACLE The Quraysh leaders, feeling challenged, tried to test the Prophet’s claim to prophethood. They demanded miraculous signs: “If you are truly a prophet, ask Allah to remove the mountains surrounding Mecca or to bestow great wealth upon us. Only then will we believe.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) responded patiently, explaining that his role was simply to convey Allah’s message, not to satisfy their demands. ABU JAHAL CONSPIRACY One day, Abu Jahl, one of the most hostile leaders of the Quraysh, plotted against the Prophet. He declared, “Tomorrow, when Muhammad comes to pray near the Kaaba, I will strike him with a heavy stone while he is in prostration.” He sought approval from his tribe, hoping they would make him a leader if he succeeded. FAILURE OF ABU JAHAL The next day, Abu Jahl waited for the Prophet to begin his prayer. But just as he lifted the stone to strike, something miraculous happened. His hands froze, and he couldn’t throw the stone. Suddenly, a mighty snake, as large as a camel, appeared beside him. Terrified, he dropped the stone and ran away, filled with fear. SOME ACCEPT AND SOME REFUSE This incident showed the people of Mecca that Allah protected His Prophet. Many were left in awe, realizing that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was indeed under the protection and guidance of Allah. But still, the Quraysh leaders refused to accept Islam, choosing to remain stubborn in their disbelief. This powerful event marked a reminder of Allah’s mercy and protection over His beloved Prophet, inspiring believers to stay firm in their faith. SURAH KAHF ANSWER TO JEWISH AND QURAISH Even after the Meccan leaders’ failed attempts to stop Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), they were still determined to challenge him. One of the leaders decided to consult Jewish scholars, knowing that the Jews, often referred to as the “children of the prophets,” possessed knowledge about prophethood and scripture. Recognizing the intelligence of the Jewish scholars, the leader of Mecca asked them for a way to test the authenticity of Muhammad’s claim to prophethood. The Jewish scholars then proposed three challenging questions, saying, “If Muhammad is truly a prophet, he will certainly provide answers to these three questions.” * Who were the Campanion of Cave? * Who was Dhulkarnayn? * What is Soul (Spirit) SURAH KAHF AND IMPORTANCE OF IN SHA ALLAH The reason behind the delayed revelation of Surah Kahf was that Allah wanted to teach the importance of saying “Insha’Allah” (if Allah wills). When the leaders of Quraysh came to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the questions proposed by the Jewish scholars, the Prophet assured them that he would soon provide the answers, yet he inadvertently forgot to say “Insha’Allah.” Allah allowed the delay as a gentle reminder that everything, including knowledge and revelation, is solely in His control. This delay served to show that only Allah has the power to grant, withhold, or test whenever He wills. Through this event, Allah taught that true reliance and humility lie in always remembering His will in all things.
