HELPING COMMUNITIES SERVE MOTHERS AND BABIES IN UGANDA

The Microfinance Alliance Africa Projects (MAAP) Foundation provides seed grants
and training to rural Ugandan communities to fund sustainable agricultural
projects. Money raised from these projects contributes to associated local
clinics, which provide desperately needed medical care for impoverished mothers
and babies.

OUR WORK

Our charity benefits pregnant and ill mothers and children, giving them access
to medicine and care. We are making a difference in many lives and improving
communities’ ability to help themselves.

LEARN HOW WE DO IT

WHY MAAP FOUNDATION?

The MAAP Foundation keeps clinic doors open. Poverty cripples Uganda’s mothers
and children who suffer from limited access to healthcare. We refuse to ignore
this crisis because many are suffering and dying unnecessarily.

HOPE THAT HEALS

BY ROBIN PENDERGRAST AND WILLIAM GRAHAM

William Graham’s poetry and Robin Pendergast’s photography vividly convey the
message that hope is a part of healing. But hope is built on a foundation of
action, and action is the parent of change.

Robin traveled to Uganda with Deacon Don in 2022. This book tells the story of
the MAAP Foundation’s mission through his photography and William’s prose.

UBUNTU

UBUNTU IS AN AFRICAN PHILOSOPHY THAT MEANS “I AM BECAUSE WE ARE.”

IT DENOTES OUR INTERCONNECTEDNESS; WE DEPEND ON EACH OTHER IN WAYS BIG AND
SMALL.
TO REACH OUR FULL POTENTIAL, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS A SOCIETY, WE MUST HELP OTHERS
ACHIEVE THEIRS.
