Coronavirus and Email Filing Information
The Fort Myers and Tampa divisions are closed from Tuesday, September 27 through
Thursday, September 29 due to Hurricane Ian.
The Ocala and Orlando divisions are closed Wednesday and Thursday. CM/ECF
remains available. The website will be updated if additional closures are
required.
Court closures due to Hurricane Ian:  The Fort Myers and Tampa divisions are
closed Tuesday, September 27 through Thursday, September 29. The Ocala and
Orlando divisions are closed Wednesday and Thursday.  The Jacksonville division
is closed Wednesday at 2pm through Friday.
The Fort Myers division will be closed through at least Friday, October 7. All
in-person proceedings scheduled to occur the week of October 3 in the Fort Myers
courthouse have been postponed. Most telephone and zoom hearings scheduled in
Fort Myers cases have also been postponed. Check the individual case docket for
more information. If you have a time-sensitive matter, contact the Tampa
division clerk's office.
The Fort Myers division will be closed through Friday, October 14. All in-person
proceedings scheduled to occur the week of October 10 in the Fort Myers
courthouse have been postponed. Most telephone and zoom hearings scheduled in
Fort Myers cases have also been postponed. Check the individual case docket for
more information. If you have a time-sensitive matter, contact the Tampa
division clerk's office.
The Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, and Tampa divisions are closed on Thursday,
November 10, 2022 due to Tropical Storm Nicole. CM/ECF remains available.
The clerk's office in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa will be
closed on Friday, November 25, 2022. Contact the Ocala Division clerk’s office
if you are in need of court services (in any of the divisions) on Friday,
November 25.
 
All Middle District courthouses will be open on Thursday, August 31.
 
Due to Hurricane Idalia, court operations at the Tampa courthouse will be closed
on Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30. Ocala Division court operations
will close on Tuesday at noon and will be closed all day Wednesday. The
Jacksonville and Orlando Divisions will be closed on Wednesday, August 30.
 
The Middle District is accepting applications for a Magistrate Judge vacancy in
the Tampa Division.
 
The Middle District of Florida will upgrade CM/ECF this Friday, June 30, 2023.
CM/ECF will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30 through 6:00 p.m.
on Saturday, July 1.
 
The Middle District is accepting applications for a magistrate judge vacancy in
the Jacksonville Division.
 
The clerk's offices in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, and Orlando will be
closed on Friday, November 24, 2023. A lawyer or a layperson in need of court
services in any of the divisions on November 24 can contact the Tampa Division
clerk's office, which will be open.
 
All divisions will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The clerk's
offices in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, and Tampa will be closed on Tuesday,
December 26. A lawyer or a layperson in need of court services in any of the
divisions on December 26 can contact the Orlando Division clerk's office, which
will be open.
 
The Jacksonville and Ocala courthouses will close at noon today, January 9, due
to inclement weather. The courthouses will reopen tomorrow, January 10, for
regular business hours.
 
The Middle District of Florida clerk's offices in Fort Myers, Ocala, Orlando,
and Tampa will be closed on Friday, July 5. A lawyer or a layperson in need of
court services in any of the divisions on July 5 can contact the Jacksonville
division clerk's office, which will be open.
 
Due to Hurricane Debby, the Jacksonville Division is closed on Monday, August 5.
The Fort Myers, Ocala, Orlando, and Tampa Divisions are open.
 
Due to Hurricane Milton, the Tampa division will be closed on Tuesday, October
8, Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10. The Fort Myers division will
be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The Ocala and Orlando divisions will be closed
on Wednesday and Thursday. Any additional court closures will be announced here
as they become official.
