A family Dental Clinic with special focus on orthodontic and implant treatments

We are anchored by two experienced dentists, Dr Gerald Yeo and Dr Adeline Tan.


OUR SERVICES


DENTAL CHECKUP






Regular dental examination and cleaning are all part of the general dentistry
treatments offered by our practice. Our check-ups include a visual inspection,
X-rays, scaling and polishing with topical fluoride application when necessary.



SCALING AND POLISHING






Scaling and Polishing is a process to remove plaque and hard calculus deposits
from your teeth, as well as accumulated stains from your daily coffee or tea.
This ensures you keep your gums healthy in addition to looking fresh and clean.



TEETH WHITENING






Tea, coffee, smoking, trauma and the natural aging process all contributing to
discoloured and stained teeth so bleaching teeth is an option to quickly improve
the appearance of your teeth.



Teeth whitening is a non-invasive procedure involving the application of a
peroxide based whitening gel. This is available either in-chair or as take-home
kits. For take-home kits, custom made trays are made and the appropriate
concentration of gel is dispensed for you to apply on the trays to be used at
home.

It is important to have a dentist assess your teeth first to assess your teeth
conditions before prescribing this treatment to avoid any complications.




FILLINGS






After the removal of damaged or decayed tooth structure, we replace the missing
parts with a strong tooth-coloured filling material that resembles the original
tooth. This ensures a restoration of form, function and aesthetics.



EXTRACTIONS & WISDOM TEETH






Extractions can be necessary for several reasons. These include severe decay,
gum disease, impacted wisdom teeth, trauma, irreparable damage and orthodontic
reasons. Extractions are performed with minimal discomfort through the effective
use of local anaesthesia.



Wisdom tooth is the back last-most molar tooth that may or may not appear in
your late teens or early twenties. It often cause problems when there is not
enough room in your jaw for it to erupt normally causing impaction which will
result in gum infection or decay to the wisdom tooth itself or the adjacent
tooth.

Radiographs will be taken to assess the degree of impaction and the tooth will
be removed with minimal discomfort under the expertise of our skilled dental
surgeons.

Wisdom tooth surgery is Medisave claimable.




ROOT CANAL TREATMENT






Also known as endodontics, root canal treatments are performed to remove the
infected nerve of a tooth which may have been caused by severe decay, tooth
grinding or trauma.



The tooth’s nerve is removed under local anaesthetic, the root canal cleaned,
shaped, sterilised and filled with an inert material. It is usually advisable to
have a crown placed after treatment to avoid fracture of the tooth.




CROWNS & BRIDGES






A crown is a tooth shaped covering made of ceramic or precious metal that is
permanently cemented on top of a tooth. It is indicated when the tooth has a
very large filling and at risk of fracture, such as after root canal treatments
when the tooth becomes more brittle. Crowns or veneers can also be fabricated
for discoloured teeth for aesthetic reasons.



Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are made with
ceramic or precious metal and are cemented to the teeth on either side of the
gap. This requires shaping of the neighbouring teeth to allow the bridge to be
permanently cemented.




DENTURES






Dentures are teeth replacement options for when teeth are extracted which helps
to restore your smile and function. They are made with acrylic, metal or a
combination of acrylic and metal.



A thorough dental examination is needed to assess your suitability for dentures,
as dentures are either held in by a suction force or with hooks around
pre-existing teeth. Hence, these structures need to be sufficiently strong to
support a denture.




DENTAL IMPLANTS






A surgical procedure is required to insert a titanium fixture into the bone
underneath the missing space. This surgical procedure is Medisave claimable.



An implant is an option for replacing a missing tooth apart from doing a bridge
or a denture.

After about 3 to 6 months, a ceramic or porcelain fused metal crown will be
fabricated and attached to the fixture either with a screw or via cementation.




BRACES






We offer orthodontic treatment for all types of dental malalignment ranging from
simple crowding issues to cases which may require surgery to correct facial
profile.



Our clinic offers conventional metal brackets or the more aesthetic looking
ceramic brackets for your orthodontic treatment.

In addition, we are also an accredited Invisalign provider if you wish to opt
for a more discreet aligner treatment.

Dr Gerald Yeo is a local graduate from the National University of Singapore. He
received advanced training in Dental implantology and specialist training in
Orthodontics because of his keen interest in these aspects of dentistry. He
brings with him extensive clinical experience in treating adults, teenagers and
children.

A highly qualified specialist in the field of restorative implants, he has
successfully performed advanced surgical procedures, restoring full function and
aesthetics for patients through the replacement of missing or damaged teeth. His
professional experience in orthodontics encompasses the full range of
orthodontic techniques on a complete spectrum of patients. This includes
conventional orthodontic treatment such as metal and ceramic brackets, as well
as lingual appliances, Invisalign and self-ligating brackets. His clinical
interests include surgical orthodontics and he is able to treat patients with
facial and jaw deformities by utilizing sophisticated diagnostic and treatment
techniques.

Dr Gerald Yeo is an active member in professional orthodontic organizations such
as the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore), the American Association of
Orthodontists, and the European Orthodontic society, where he contributes and
keeps up to date with the latest world-class techniques in orthodontics.

Dr Adeline Tan is a local graduate from the National University of Singapore.
She is a member of the Singapore Dental Association and brings with her a wealth
of experience in general dentistry, having honed her skills through many years
of successful practice in public and private spheres.

Friendly and approachable, she enjoys working with patients of all ages and does
her utmost to ensure that patients are as relaxed and comfortable as possible.
Her deep knowledge and skillful technique translate into effective dental
treatment plans for each patient.

Dr Adeline Tan is an active learner that constantly upgrades herself and keeps
herself abreast of the latest developments in dentistry. She attends courses and
conferences both locally and internationally to ensure that her patients benefit
from the most up to date techniques in dentistry.

She is committed to offering the highest quality of dental care to patients.
