OUR VISION

Spirion’s founders, Todd Feinman and David Goldman, understood that sensitive
data is the digital representation of real people. They started Spirion with an
audacious goal to “Eliminate data breaches and the pain associated with them.”
With this guiding principle, they started Spirion with a singular mission: to
find and protect what matters most, the sensitive personal and private data of
an organization’s customers, colleagues, partners, and communities.

BUSINESS DRIVERS

The exponential growth of data brings enormous opportunity to organizations, but
it also brings increased exposure to security, privacy, and compliance risks.

The personal and sensitive data that fuels an organization’s growth can also be
exploited by cybercriminals as part of a data beach.

Cyberattacks are becoming more frequent, complex, and costly. The average cost
of a data breach in the U.S. is a staggering $9.44 million — soaring to $49
million per incident when one to ten million records of data were exfiltrated.

An onslaught of headlines around data breaches and organizational misuse of data
have awakened consumer concern about how their private data is used. Companies
that fail to adequately protect personal data face damage to both their
reputation and brand.

As well, companies today face a myriad of data privacy regulatory mandates to
improve how they manage personal information (PI), including Europe’s General
Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); state laws like the California Privacy Rights
Act (CPRA); and industry-specific regulations, such as CMMC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and
many others.

As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve and expand and new cyber threats
continually emerge, a one-off, initiative- based approach can no longer scale.

SPIRION IS STEP ONE IN SENSITIVE DATA GOVERNANCE

Spirion addresses these challenges with our sensitive data governance framework
— a comprehensive foundation for data security and privacy programs. Data
discovery, classification, understanding, and control form the foundational
capabilities of data governance.

DISCOVER

Organizations must be able to find any data type, anywhere it may reside. This
is what Spirion calls “Privacy Grade™” Discovery.

Powered by sophisticated data science, Spirion’s AnyFind™ algorithms have been
trained on billions of sensitive data records with benchmarked accuracy of
98.5%. accuracy Spirion’s automated data discovery tools enable you to search
everywhere, including within Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux; across structured or
unstructured data; and on-prem, cloud, and endpoint-based storage, applications,
systems, and websites.

CLASSIFY

To understand sensitive data, an organization must be able to identify and
quantify its relative value, how it is used, where it resides and how it moves.
Automated context-rich classification is the only way to effectively delineate
data value and purpose.

UNDERSTAND

In order to limit exposure to the risks associated with data, an organization
must understand its value, volume and overall vulnerability (SDV3™). Accurate
and comprehensive Data Discovery and Automated Classification allow an
organization to manage their sensitive data and determine the most effective
ways to address the risk associated with it.

CONTROL

Once an organization’s data is properly understood, they can then apply the
appropriate protections, cures, and necessary controls to protect what is
sensitive. Spirion’s playbook orchestration automates policies associated with
controlling sensitive data.

COMPLY

In order to comply with data privacy regulations, an organization must be able
to demonstrate that they have control over the sensitive data they collect, use
and store.

OUR PRODUCT OFFERINGS

GOVERNANCE SUITE — Combine all Spirion products to build a proactive privacy and
security posture.

“The real victims of enterprise data breaches are always the people. That was
the genesis of Spirion; to protect people from identity theft by enabling
companies to find and protect sensitive data. Since day one, we have made our
focus to be the most reliable, accurate, and scalable data discovery and
automated persistent classification solution on the market. We invite you to
join us in eliminating the risk of fraud caused by successful cyberattacks”

Todd Feinman, Spirion Co-Founder
