The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court was established on 17 July 1998, when 120 States participating in the "United Nations Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Establishment of an International Criminal Court" adopted the Statute. The Statute entered into force on 1 July 2002. * Basic Instruments and Jurisprudence (to Jurisprudence Collection page) * Chronology of Significant Procedural and Jurisprudential Developments (to International Criminal Law Updates blog) * ICC Legal Analysis & Education Project 4400 Massachusetts Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20016 * (202) 885-1000 * Contact Us * Visit AU * Work at AU Copyright © 2024 American University. * Emergency Preparedness * Policies * Privacy * Disclosure * EEO * Title IX * Facebook * Twitter * Youtube * LinkedIn * Instagram Homepage loading
