ANOTHER NEIGHBORHOOD TO LOOK FOR NAME IN HUTCH

Hutch Healthy Neighborhoods

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — City Council member Stacy Goss mentioned at last week's
meeting that there is another neighborhood in Hutch that will be having some
meetings soon as part of the Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative.

"We did a van tour," Goss said. "[Human Relations Director Dave Sotelo] was
there. We walked each neighborhood. It was really interesting to kind of see the
great parts and the warts and all of some of these neighborhoods. The McCandless
area neighborhood was selected for the next neighborhood."

The neighborhood will set its own boundaries, but the initial area they will be
talking to is the area from south of 11th to 4th and Severance to K-61.

"They will be doing interviews," Goss said. "Hutch Rec will be getting in touch
with people who live in that area and they will be determining their own
boundaries, just like the Founders neighborhood did. If you live in that area, I
encourage you to be on the lookout for more information."
