QUALITY OF SERVICES IS NOW THE HIGHEST PRIORITY IN EYE TREATMENT FOR ACHIEVING

THE CHALLANGE:
TODAY, ONE THIRD (1/3) OF THE POPULATION HAVE A VISION IMPIREMENT OR BLINDNESS.
YET, EYE CARE IS OUT OF REACH OF AT LEAST 45% OF PEOPLE BECAUSE IT'S UNFAIRLY
DISTRIBUTED.




THE NEED:
MOST JUST NEED GLASSES, SOME NEED LOW COST SURGERY AND OTHER NEEDS TO SEE A
DOCTOR REGULARLY. OUR LOW-COST, QUALITY SCALABLE EYE CARE SERVICES ACROSS THE
COUNTRY HAS MADE US THE LARGEST SERVICE PROVIDER OF EYE CARE IN CHANDPUR AND ITS
SORROUNDINGS.

1.2 MILLION

Patients are Treated and Diagnosed by Different Ocular Bio Chemistry Examination
at Base Hospital among which Male (Adult) 37%, Female (Adult) 44% and Children
(0-18Yrs) were 19%.


81.2 THOUSANDS

Eye Surgeries were performed at Base Hospital Including Cataract, Glaucoma, DCR,
Pterigium, Strabismus, Squint. Among Male 48.08%, Female 50.41% and Children
1.51%.


1.04 MILLION

Patient are Treated and Diagnosed by Free Screening Eye Camp in 57 Upazillas of
12 Districts in Bangladesh and distributed Free Medicine and Spectacle with
support of Local Organizers.


97.5 THOUSANDS

Cataract Surgeries are performed at Free of Cost in 1411 nos Screening Eye Camp
and Distributed Free Post-OP Medicine and Black Spectacles.


4.8 LAKHS

Students were screened and Treated by School Sight Testing Program (SSTP) in
1148 nos Schools of 24 Upazillas and Provide Free Medicine.


3.64 LAKHS

Patients Treated by 06 Nos Primary Eye Care Caenter or Vision Center and
Surgically Treated 4722 nos Patients at a Subsidised Cost.


99.2 THOUSANDS

Pair of Spectacles are Distributed to Children and Aducts at Free of Cost.

School Teachers and Frontline Health Workers are Oriented on Primary Eye Care.

15 Members Executive Committee and 04 Members Advisory Committee Manage the
total Organization.

Currently 1 Patron Member and 26 Life Members in our Organization who look after
its activities.
 

GENERAL MEMBERS

35 Generam Members are registered for General Meeting. They advise and guide in
Decession Making during the year.

DOCTORS AND OFFICERS

14 Doctors Including 6 Ophthalmologists are served in Different Sub Speciality
services of Eye Care. 6 Administrative officers Manage day to day activities.

PARAMEDICS AND SUPPORTING STAFFS

36 Ophthalmic paramedics and 50 Supporting Staffs wark hard for day to day
activities of Hospital.


WHAT WE DO

 
 

OUT PATINET DEPARTMENT (OPD)

6000 Sft Wide Out Patient Area provides eye care treatments of around 450
patients from 08.00 am to 02.00 PM.

IN PATIENT DEPARTMENT (IPD)

51 Beds in In Patient Department including Separate Ward for Male, Female and
Children.

OPERATION THEATER (OT) SERVICES

3 Specialized Operation Theater Equiped with Modern Technology based Hi-Tech
Instruments Caters average 50 Surgeries daily.
 

SCREENING EYE CAMP

In Free SEC we Provide Treatment, Ocular Investigation, Free Cataract Surgery
and Distribute free Medicine, Spectacles.

SCHOOL SIGHT TESTING PROGRAM

For Early Detection and Prevention of Childhood Blindesss we Organise SSTP and
Provide Free Treatment, Medicine, Spectacle.

PRIMARY EYE CARE CENTER (VC)

Vision Center and PEC renders Primary Eye Care in Rural Remote Areas with latest
Technology and Medical Equipments.

LABORATORY SERVICES

State of Art Ocular Bio Chemistry Lab Served the patients for Better Diagnosis
and Treatment.

SUBSPECIALITY SERVICES

Cataract, Glaucoma, Pediatric and Low Vision Subspeciality Clinics Provides day
to day Services.

TRAINING AND ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Specialized Training for Doctors and Staffs and Orientation Program for School
Teachers and Health Workers are organized Regularly.
