 * About Us Born on June 22nd, 1956, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, His Royal
   Highness, Hon. Justice Sidi Dauda Bage Muhammed 1, charted a course unlike
   any other. His early education began at Dunoma Primary School and Government
   Secondary School, both in Lafia, laying the foundation for his future
   achievements. A spark ignited a passion for law, leading him to Ahmadu Bello
   University, Zaria, where he earned a Diploma in Law with merit. This
   accomplishment opened the doors for direct entry into the prestigious LLB
   Honours program. Graduating with a Second Class Lower Division, his legal
   journey continued at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, culminating in his call
   to the Bar in 1981. His dedication to service extended beyond the courtroom.
   The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) saw him fulfill his duty as a Legal
   Officer at the Nigeria Air Force Base in Kaduna, providing invaluable
   experience that set the stage for his distinguished legal career. Justice
   Bage’s path took a remarkable turn in 1982 when he was appointed Magistrate
   Grade II in the Plateau State Judiciary. This marked the beginning of a
   meteoric rise. Promotions followed swiftly, with him becoming Magistrate
   Grade I in 1984, Senior Magistrate Grade II in 1986, and ultimately Chief
   Magistrate II in the FCT Judiciary by 1989. His commitment to excellence and
   leadership qualities were undeniable. By 1992, he was elevated to the High
   Court Bench as a Judge. This was just the beginning. In 2007, his brilliance
   and experience earned him a well-deserved appointment as Justice of the Court
   of Appeal. The pinnacle of his judicial career came in 2016 when he was
   appointed Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a testament to his
   exceptional legal mind and unwavering dedication to justice. Justice Bage’s
   tireless pursuit of knowledge mirrored his dedication to service. He actively
   participated in numerous courses and seminars, both locally and
   internationally, enriching his legal expertise. This included programs at the
   Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, the Centre for State Courts
   (USA), the Judicial Administration University of Jos, and prestigious
   institutions like the Chartered Institute of Mediators (UK) and the Nigerian
   Institute of Chartered Arbitrators. However, Justice Bage’s journey wasn’t
   confined to the courtroom. He possessed a zest for life, indulging in hobbies
   like reading, horse riding, golf, and squash, showcasing his well-rounded
   personality. In a surprising turn of events, in 2019, he was selected as the
   17th Emir of Lafia, Nasarawa State. This marked a new chapter, where his
   wisdom and leadership would guide his people beyond the courtroom walls.
   Today, His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Sidi Dauda Bage Muhammed 1, embodies
   the spirit of Lafia, a leader shaped by rigorous legal training, unwavering
   dedication to justice, and a deep respect for tradition.
