NIGHT MIRE GAUNTLET

The Night Mire Gauntlet came out earlier this month! Here's a brief overview of
the enemies that you'll be fighting in this gauntlet!

This gauntlet has 3 tiers. Depending on the level of the lowest wizard, you'll
be placed in a corresponding tier. 

Tier 1 - 1-50

Tier 2 - 51-100

Tier 3 - 101+

 


FIGHT 1

The first fight is against 3 (or 4 if there are 4 wizards present) Glowbug
Zappers. One of the bugs will be storm, but the others will be a random
assortment of other schools. These bugs are rank 7/12/20 depending on the tier
of the gauntlet.




FIGHT 2

The second fight is against some Gussied-Up Gators. One of them will be elite. 




FIGHT 3

The third fight  is against Dr. Neaux. A rank 9/14/22 Boss. This is a
cheating boss! Before the first round starts, Dr. Neaux will cast Doom and Gloom
(-75% healing). Then, on his first turn he will remove 50/70/90 percent of every
wizard's health! At the start of each third round, Dr. Neaux will remove 5%
health from each wizard and cast mass infection.

This was probably the most challenging fight for me! I definitely recommend
bringing a healer, and having someone change the bubble during the first turn!



 


FIGHT 4

The fourth fight is against 2 Gussied-Up Gators and a Glowbug Zapper. 




FIGHT 5

The final fight is against the Rank 9/14/22 boss Mulleted Dr. Neaux. This
Fire/Life boss is also a cheating boss! If a wizard joins the fight late, he
will completely heal himself!

Here's the strategy I used to beat this fight

Use an AOE to clear minions, but do not completely kill the boss. Otherwise, he
will heal 100% of his health.

Cast Doom and Gloom to reduce the boss' healing. 

Once the boss is under 50% health, he will use Choke to stun all wizards. Every
round after this, he will cast Heartbeat, and heal a portion of his health.

Defeat the boss before he completely heals (if he reaches full health his cheat
cycle will restart).



 

This gauntlet was pretty fun, and the music was pretty great too! The bundle can
be purchased for $39 through the Wizard101 website and comes with 7,500 Crowns.

the fact that it's literally a walking hazard. Though simple, the pet is very
detailed and would look great with any fire stitch!

Lightkeeper's Estate

This house has a very eerie atmosphere. It immediately reminds me of the
Polarian Shipwreck house, one of my personal favorite bundle houses! I can't

This bundle is my absolute favourite by far, it is so beautifully created and
it's also MASSIVE!

The plot alone is huge, and the inside of each house is either a decorators
dream, or nightmare. 
There are 5 houses total, 2 smaller ones, 2 medium, and one massive mansion. I
honestly think you need a mount inside the mansion, it's so big you think you're
running slow!





This is what you will see when you first teleport to your home. A gorgeous
scenic view with trees, one medium house, a small house and the mansion on the
mountain in the distance.



I personally LOVE the way the path to the world gate                           
             looks too, it's so simple yet perfect!







Here's a look at the exterior of each of the 5 houses:



 



 

 

 The blossom pond is such a pretty little nook to fish in, and the view from
above looking down is also something to take a look at!








 

 

 

And the interior of course! 
Each ball of yarn acts as a teleporter that leads to the teleport hub. The green
and red both lead to the smaller houses, teal and purple lead to the medium
houses, and the yellow leads to the mansion!



 

As you can see by my wizard, the mansion is literally ginormous. Each golden
archway in the houses are a room, and the mansion rooms are about 2-3 times the
size! This is an incredible challenge for house decorators, I have absolutely no
idea how to decorate!



 


The Acolyte! Like other interacts, the Acolyte will grant you gold and another
random item.


 

Now, moving onto the awesome attire, pet, and mount!







 































 


I fell in love with the gear as soon as I saw it, it's the cutest set ever :,)

 

 





 

 

 



This Lucky Cat pet is absolutely adorable. The animation the cat does is little
steppy-steps, and a yawn AFK animation!
It also looks like the collar is dyable, but isn't working at the moment. 



 

It also looks like if we can get Spiritual Retriever, Elemental Retriever may
also be in the pool! This pet is 10/10.



 

 


This mount is pretty sweet with the razor sharp claws and tusk-like fangs, along
with its 5 tails, and 40% speed boost!



 

 The bundle should be 100% available once Extra Life is complete for $39 at
gamestop online and in-stores, as well as the Wizard101 website. Some gamestop
stores are selling them now, however the first time I went, the cards were not
yet activated.

This gear gives the same amount of energy as the Alpine Hunter Gear from
the Yule Logger Pack, Light Elf Gear from the  Elven Nightmare Pack, and Pet
Trainer Bundle, with a base of 96 energy for max level wizards.



































Here's a look at what the gear + pet look like!


 

The default gear colour is red, but is dyeable for 1 gold it seems! I ended up
making mine blue to match Simon the Chipmunk Conductor, as well as the conductor
from my favourite movie, The Polar Express!

 





 



Very similar to the Polaris Express mount, but the AFK animation for the Lil
Steam Engine is pumping both fists in the air

 

 



Assuming the rest of the talents are also gardening/fishing/energy related, it
also looks like it has the possibility for Spiritual or Elemental Retriever!






This train set for housing is pretty awesome, and quite easy to use even if you
have no clue about castle magic like me!
The train moves through Bread Crumbs, a pack you can buy in the crown shop for
500 gold (do not buy Bread Crumb packs for 100 crowns...)
Each Bread Crumb pack comes with 7 blue orbs, these are the bread crumbs.

I started by lining up my bread crumb trail, going around my Polarian Explorer
house. Link each bread crumb together, first by clicking your first bread crumb,
then to the one if front of it. This way it will follow however you placed your
crumbs.

The yellow arrow below the crumb indicates the beginning, click said crumb, and
select next bread crumb in front (the one in the red square) and so on!


You also want to make sure your train is going to follow the trail, you can do
so by clicking your first crumb, then "Assign a pet to this Bread Crumb". It
says pet, but you will be able to set it to the train.
