INTRODUCTION TO ROUTING SECURITY & MANRS

This webinar provides an introduction to routing security, the issues with the
global BGP routing system, and the Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security
(MANRS) initiative that encourages basic routing security actions including
filtering, anti-spoofing, coordination, and address prefix validation. It also
introduces participants to available educational resources including online
tutorials and implementation guides. A brief demonstration of the MANRS
Observatory tool and some practical implementation guidance is also offered.

The webinar is presented by Kevin Meynell,  Senior Manager, Technical and
Operational Engagement at the Internet Society.

Senior Manager, Technical and Operational Engagement

Kevin Meynell is the Senior Manager, Technical and Operational Engagement
working in the Internet Technology Office at the Internet Society. His main
responsibility is for the Deploy360 program which encourages deployment of key
Internet technologies including IPv6, DNSSEC, DNS Privacy, Routing Security and
TLS. This involves identifying resources and producing content that support the
goals of the program, along with social media and outreach activities to promote
and raise awareness of developments in these areas.
