We are contacting you on behalf of your contracted health plan(s) to verify your
practice information. Your contracted payers are required by federal and state
regulations to keep their directory information up to date to help ensure
patients have timely access to care. This email is being sent for the purposes
of verifying the information in directories and is not offering or selling you
any services or products.

Why are you being asked to do this?

 * The No Surprises Act (“NSA”) was signed into law as part of the Consolidated
   Appropriations Act of 2021 on December 27, 2020 and took effect on January 1,
   2022. Included in the NSA are requirements addressing provider directories
   which are designed to protect consumers and improve the accuracy of provider
   directories. See 42 U.S.C. § 300gg-115 and § 300gg-139 (“Section 116”). 
 * Your contracted payer(s) request your verification to meet plan directory
   regulations. 
 * LexisNexis® Risk Solutions is working with your payers to minimize disruption
   and outreach to you.

Did you know? Payers must comply with regulation and legislation at both the
federal and state level. Regulations vary from what payers must include in
directories, to the frequency they must provide updates and penalties associated
to inaccuracies also vary. Failure to reply to this request may result in
additional requests.

1Updates in the VerifyHCP Portal will not affect your contract status with
participating payers; you will need to contact their contracting departments to
add practice locations or provide W-9 in case of TIN updates.
*CMS requires quarterly updates for Medicare Advantage, while individual states
have varying requirements on directory data update frequency. The VerifyHCP
Portal will contact you in accordance with these applicable regulations.
